Funny, I thought more, the pirate bay would have seeded an attack code for all bot nets, and then denied responsibility, by saying all their "fans" supporting them are responsible. I love piratebay, but most users are not of the calibur to be able to DDoS attack their competitors or enemies.
Funny, enough, to have had a small attachment on each the the rovers, would have meant they could have at least brushed each other off at intervals. This means their main power would have lasted longer, and also, they would have been gridsweeping (together) instead of free roaming (apart) maybe discover something as the search is more thorough.
The problem here was that it was not a police officer at the time that asked her to stop texting. If anyone asks you to stop doing something, you have to ask yourself why.... If a teacher asks you to stop texting, then you have to realise the worst that could happen....is you get kicked out of class. I find this a bit much and more about trying to make an example of someone then actually doing any real good in our community. I can really push the matter and find reasons to sue everyone, but in the end I am counterproductive to others. She was wrong for not stopping, but not criminal....I am sorry to say, I believe that this whole story shows what is wrong with the US today. If I plant the seed, then it will grow, even if I planted the wrong seed in the wrong soil. Case in point, there was a man accused of raping a woman, but the woman recanted after realising it could not have been the man after all (based on evidence he was somewhere else at the time)....however, he was put on a criminal sex offender's list, which he is still on today, even though he was innocent. Sometimes pushing an issue too far, ends up with dire consequences for the person in question. Because this is supposedly "criminal" will she have a record..? will it affect here getting a job, or even get her fired from a job she already has (which depending where she lives...she may be working to help support her family....) She could also have had a family emergency......who knows...but not the teacher's place to decide, throw her out, but charge here....for christ's sake...get real!
Sorry, I didn't eat my wheaties that morning, after rereading my post, I feel a little embarrassed. I guess it was a bit overkill.... so much for free speech!
Especially, when most people dont realise that the posts keep mysteriously changing from "down with facebook" to "hey...lets donate all our money to facebook so they don't have to do things like this"
Keep 5 dual core machines for yourself, easily fits in your den, and cluster them.... the rest sell to friends and relatives at a steal, and make profit.
You moron, he was making a funny comment about skynet, not talking about REALLY Making the internet withstand a nuclear attack. Who cares if there is any internet after a nuclear attack, the world will be torn to small pieces anyways, we will have to rewire a small asteroid, at least we wont be shut down by a faulty router in europe!
Of course, this coming from a state where they will penalize you with tax for driving a car that consumes too much gas, AND ALSO TAX YOU FOR DRIVING A CAR THAT USES TOO LITTLE!!!!!! Talk about an incentive to get rid of your older car.....no wait they tax you too for driving something that is too old! I have to move to Dubai very soon!
My reason exactly why I do not trust facebook. Sure, we will give you all this free space to do what you will with, but then we get to keep it forever to review and analise....sounds like a google tactic to me.
I said this along time ago, keep stuff made for space in space, so that we can use their metal and pieces to put together more stations in the future, like all those orbiting sats, could they not be used for parts, they are already up there, have the shuttle scoop up all of them and bring thenm to the space station, and use their thrusters and cameras and satcoms etc....for the station, if they are broken, they can be fixed, along with someone who can stay longer up there to head up the inventory.
This is not new, as I mentioned about the shuttle being used in this way too, we could send it up and then bring the 'nauts down with the next shuttle, leaving an extra traveling vehicle up there. If we start thinking this way, not only will we be richer in space, but will not have to deal with thes colliding satellites... http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/02/15/2241211
We have seen regular signs of this phenomena a long time ago. Second and third generation wrestlers, musicians, etc... seems like the genes have cellular memory, and that this can be linked to "characteristics" whether involuntary or not.
I tend to think if you lead a life of hardship, and then you bring a baby into your world, they are going to know hardship too. They live in the environment we ween them in. Is this really any big bright new flashy idea, I think someone is trying to find a way to siphon money into useless projects again.
The whole problem is the way the engines are wide open at the front end of the plane, if we were to put some chicken wire then it would avoid anything going in, although the suction would probably be too great for whatever is stuck to get free, they would be able to dislodge it though once they land.
We shall start by using this new system as a way to gauge how much power is needed for something...4 terahamsters for this, 2 terahamsters for that....I LIKE IT!
I tend to agree about what you say for people wasting time on who said what (about life in general too, not just internet). However, being from Canada, I thought the American people had a Free speech amendment in their constitution, if I am mistaken that means I can call someone an idiot if I really think he is an idiot. If i read about a pervert, and I want to talk to others about them being perverts (only after wards was it ruled they were not perverts) I should be allowed no?
Did I miss something? Should the blame be placed on the ones that falsely accused them of being perverts in the first place? That seems to be the point here, I gather someone accusing you and the court ruling in your favor means that you would go after THEM for defamation of character, not the internet, they were a result of the present situation.
How do you think they can prove that the tool is in fact as old as it claims to be... carbon dating? or is there some other process I am not aware of that this particular science team used to verify the age of the tool?
It's a sad world when most news communities are page scraping information from the web, instead of following up leads. Old school would never permit you making any such claims until the source had been proven, avoids problems in the end. However, today, it is cheaper to go Google something and then get your info from it....
ie- Story surfaces of Rhianna being beaten up by Chris Brown, a quick Google would show up some mixed stories, so if someone was really trying to be quick and landed on the first page, would see that Chris Brown and Rhianna, have never been together as they alleged they were not...(we know they were thanks to access Hollywood)...however, without contacting Rhianna's publicist, this would actually go out in a story, if someone did not do their homework.
And with all this expenditure, here http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/02/10/2012201 they now (within the economic crisis) are trying to make more money back by making all sorts of people swallow some unproven facts....
The problem comes from when M$ feels the crunch and has to resort to even more evil tactics then usual. Open source is actually safer, because the code is open for all to see, who in their right mind (expert opinion here) after finding a flaw, would not wake the community up to it, and help by fixing it, because if he doesn't someone else will, and get the credit for it.... so I don't agree with M$ on this one...they are just strapped for cash...maybe they should stop spending so much on crappy ideas, and more on reorganization of the company infrastructure.

Again, another attempt by M$ to control what you can and cant do,
instead of leaving it to you to know what you should and should not do!
Not if they use ubuntu : )

I guess you could run linux from the command line and give up using the X environment
Is there a link to learn how to become REALLY good at it, I have a casino near my house!

Maybe if they added bumpers?

I hope they come out with the one that 7 of 9 on voyager wears,
cant wait to get one of those for my girlfriend, and also the body suit, that was hot!

Now if only...instead of crashing Kosmos 2251 or Iridium 33 they could have crashed say Plutonium 239,
then we would be in business!

I just hope you get someone with points to mod you funny!!!
