So you lie to sleep with women? Yea you're a real catch, right up there with Hannibal Lector on the trust worthy scale.

Hint hint : If you're fucking someone you risk having kids with them (not all protection works) if you have to lie to her to get her into bed you two sure as hell aren't suitable to raise kids together and shouldn't be fucking each other.

  5. The question on Smarter Teens Have Less Sex · · Score: 1, Redundant

The thing I want to know is why. I mean I'm 21 and never slept with any one, but I made a choice to wait for someone who mattered. So I've waited for it rather than not had the chance to do it. So how many smart kids decide "I'd rather sleep with someone I care for" instead of just never had the chance?

  7. Re:Heavenly Sword Irks me on Heavenly Sword Demo Out · · Score: 1

Not to defend the fantasy stereo type but remember there is more than 1 way to fight. Men are best suited to hitting people with things, where as women are generally more agile and are better suited to using lighter weapons and avoiding direct confrontation. Think of it like an Elf fighting an Orc, one is nimble and fast, the other is huge and a brute. If the elf can keep his balance and get in lots of short blows he will win, but if the orc hits him hard then he's pretty much screwed no matter how good his armour is.

So in some cases it is better to be wearing leather armour and as little as you need to stay warm and resist minor cuts and grazes. That way you enhance your mobility and can win with speed and not power.

So women in light armor isn't a bad thing. Women in light armour who use brute force is a bad thing.

How did you guys miss such an obvious thing?

  9. Re:Never been done on How FPS Storylines Are Written · · Score: 1

It's not a medium that lends it's self well to stories. The best you can do is half life 2 but then you end up with story bits in set places which just leave you bored after the first place through. The other alternative involves way too much text and is totally avoidable if you want it to be.

  10. Re:anime industry on Richard Stallman Talks On Copyright Vs. the People · · Score: 5, Insightful

Because the anime industry is one of those really quirky things where they let fans do things which is against the law.

Fansubbing is illegal the way it's most often done. They pirate TV programs with added text and then give them to hundreds or thousands of people. Now the companies could start being assholes and try to shut these groups down, but instead they have a gentleman's contract. Subbers stop subbing when a series is licenced and a blind eye is turned to the subbers.

In this way companies learn what is popular and get free market research, fans get what they want when they want it and then in an ideal world the fans buy the official releases to support the original companies and the ones who licenced the anime.

So basically, it's a good way to show copyright isn't always the answer. If you allow people leeway they will repay you back at a later date by supporting you. One could argue fansubs work as the perfect advertisement for merchandise to people outside of Japan and if copyright was put down on it, it would hurt the industry more than if they ignore it. :)

So anime is a good example of copyright done correctly in a lot of people's opinion.

Not to rain on anyones parade but this is why MS have the patent claims. Every time someone innovative comes out or a new idea the open source community makes their own version. I think you have FPSes wrong. They are very easy to learn, but unforgiving, but when you go online you start to see that Single player skills are laughable and to truely be good you have to invest some real hard time into the game and know every little detail to the point where it's a sixth sense rather than just skill.
