Is this idea *really* knew for people? I remember talking about this in the late 90s -- I think some devices actually shipped in this configuration as well.
Q: Name one other smart phone that plays video? A: Tons do -- Blackberry for example. A better question: Can you exactly name a smart phone that still can't play video?
Q: How about one that allows you to display a full webpage? A: Tons do.
Q: Personally I can't stand the micro keyboards so I don't get the whole Blackberry craze. A: To send emails on a device a micro keyboard is the best way to go. Blackberry users will be able to send emails anywhere from 2 to 10x faster than a keyboardless device.
Q: How about a smart phone running a desktop OS? A: It's not a full desktop OS. It's a stripped down OS like all smart phones.
I'm sure many people that eat meat (like myself) just do it because it's more healthy than not eating meat -- not because we don't have the will power.
Having to come up with a vegetarian diet which is as healthy as my current diet would probably be very hard.
Question: How is it good for the animals? If everyone was a vegetarian we wouldn't have _any_ farm animals. Infact, if everyone switched to not eating meat, the only choice for farmers would be to slaughter their remaining livestock.
I've talked to many people about it, and they all agree it sounds horrible. Apparently someone put together a site with different music dubbed in and every track they tried sounded better.
Thank goodness we'll never have such a system. Why would I ever become a software developer if there was no money in it?
We need to design our legal system in a way that is to the maximum benefit of society. Your way would hold technological development back, possibly halt it.
I've tried using VIM (GVIM on Windows). I just wasn't as productive as with an IDE.
How do you edit > 20 files at the same time with VIM? It's extremely common for me when dealing with large projects to require a ton of files open and being editted at once. I've tried doing this with VIM and just couldn't manage.
Actually that's not a bad idea. Ship it empty. Then force them to sell a separate application starter kit.
They would be forced to sell the starter kit at cost. The cost to develop IE/WMP/ etc.The competition could then also have their own version. The OSS one would obviously be free.
I think something like this would be the ideal solution.

You like the MSDN's search !??!!?
The search at the MSDN is nearly useless. It needs to be completely redone. Half the time I am looking for something on the MSDN I have to Google it.
It has one of the worst search algorithms I've ever seen. Whoever came up with it should be fired and replaced.
That's the median.
The chance that the median equals the mean in this case is unlikely.
They've been rolling this kind of stuff out periodically for years as well.
IIRC, support for Symbian and some Palm devices has been out for a long time now.
RIM has been working on that stuff for *years* before the iPhone was announced.
RIM has been working on this long before the iPhone was announced.
The barrier to entry into the x86 processor market is *extremely* high.
If AMD folds, Intel could pretty much do anything they want to with prices.
It would be bad for everyone other than Intel employees and Intel share holders.
I've been on many flights where they specifically tell you to turn off the wireless radios in your portable devices.
It's more like making the "bolt" than just tightening it.

It's actually even easier just to get a valid volume licensing key through the internet so you don't have to bother with activation.
I do this even though I have legit copies of Windows.
It's sad when pirating the OS becomes easier than installing the copy you paid for.

Of course Apple will have to pay.
It's not like if I asked Apple for one of their trademarks they would just *give* it to me.
2) It doesn't compete with the BB's main function -- an email device. Few reasons: missing the keyboard and no exchange support.
The device seems to be geared for the consumer market where as the BB is mainly business.

Maybe he has a family - some people do you know. I wouldn't want to raise kids in an apartment.
The song they use in the commercial is horrible.

s/"dispute global warming"/"dispute climate change"/g
Anyone who disputes climate change is a moron. The debate isn't about whether climate change occurs (of course it does). It's about who caused it.
I don't care which side of the debate you're on -- at least understand what is being debated.

Are you being serious? IMO, the chance that Hillary becoming president is extremely slim.
I've used Vista and it's trash. We spent almost an hour trying to de-newb-ify the GUI then gave up.
The only way they'll convince me to run Vista is if they support the old WinXP theme. The new GUI is trash.
BTW: If they ever add support for the old GUI. Would there even be a difference from WinXP? Vista these days is pretty much only a crappy WinXP theme.

I use home/end/pgup/pgdn all the time. Are there any replaces for them?
I just don't shop at places that have mail-in rebates. Period.
