Is there still lack of support for ATI's All-In-Wonder cards (9600 and 9800 Pro)? The last time I checked, there was no driver or the TV tuner because ATI didn't open up their drivers. Even MS Windows Media Centers (even Vista RC1) don't support it. From what I read, ATI is not making any more AIW cards. I think the support is going away.:(
I use compression on folders in XP Pro. and Home SP2. I have not seen this problem on my systems at home and work. I always get the newest patches on their first release dates. I even defragged (PerfectDisk v6.0 with its patches) over the weekend. I haven't seen anything odd. I am using old IDE and SATA HDDs.
Bad idea. It reminds me of Mac's chimp and PC's beep sound (assuming PC speaker is not disconnected). I like to customize my own sounds like using THX for Windows' startups.:)
I haven't seen any of rich people I met with this Alienware brand. Not even notebooks/laptops. I have seen a lot of Dell and Apple including high end models. How about the rest of you?
