How's the usability (does it require a pen input like the regular PDAs?), weight compared to the Databank calculator watches, etc.? It looks interesting, but I don't need a full PDA (hence why I don't own one). Just something simple to record some schedules, some telephone #s, and a simple calculator.
I am also worried about its physcial size and weight. Would it be too heavy, annoying, and big for say a kid? My wrist and hand are small and thin due my physical disabilities. Casio Databank calculator watches fit me well.
Ditto. I am a thin guy (110 lbs.) with small hands and wrists, and these watches would be too big and heavy for me. I still prefer the CASIO Databank calculator watches. I am currently wearing and using 150 model. I have been wearing these types since junior high/middle school days.:) They work well for me. Plus, light and fits my wrist well.

I usually avoid these hypes. I just wait until I see the products myself. That's true for movies, TV shows, games, places, etc.

The problem is guilds. You would want all your buddies to move over too. I am not paying and playing at this time due to these problems. I will wait and I am really busy at this time.
Since I wear an analog hearing aid, I cannot hear the directions of the sound (not even left and right) because my analog hearing aid only has one microphone (left side of my head). Basically, I hear everything in mono. However, I love bass so give me a big fat subwoofer any day. And it is even better if I turn off/remove my hearing aid to make more bass. [grin]
Bah, you don't need a TiVo to playback this ad to pause.
Use a VCR (hardest), another brand of PVR (your computer if you have a TV tuner), watch online, download the video file and use some video editor, etc.
It is sweep mode right now and Olympic games are in session. I was going to not watch anything this week, but now this came up. Nice timing.;) Too bad it is not HDTV format.
Does anyone here still prefer and use older versions like Office 2000? At home, I use 2000 version and it still does fine for my needs. I don't do fancy editings in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Sometimes I use OpenOffice especially in Linux and Mac OS X v10.2.8 (NeoOffice), but that's rare. At work, I have to use Office 2003 since it is required by IT. I don't like these newer versions (2002/XP, 2003, etc.).

This three page ABC News story asks millions of people worldwide spend enormous amounts of time online, but are they addicted? Video games and the Internet have been subject to suspicion since the computer became a household fixture. One complaint: People get sucked into spending enormous amounts of time on the computer, to the detriment of other parts of their life.
But are they addicted? The answer depends on what you mean by "addicted." Most experts say computers are not addictive in the same sense that drugs are, but they could be on the same level as gambling...

Petrushka: You can download and watch high definition videos.
No no! QuickTime Alternative is even better.
It reminds me of an episode (can't find it) where these guys built a tower made out of various pieces. Maybe this guy is doing the same. [grin]

Technology gives me communicaton for me due to my speech and hearing impediments. I don't think I would do well without IM, online chat, forums, etc.

As for NYT, just use this. Most likely, it will make a link that doesn't require to log in.
Remember that error from Windows 3.x days? :)
Oh, and that's another reason. Heh.
I wonder if the new version will force us to upgrade because of that. Hmm!
Or better, don't use ANY graphics. Just surf without graphic if you just need non-pictorial information.

Seen on Blue's News.
What if he is into gaming? I like to game on my laptop, and the heat is crazy.
Probably can run mods too. :)
Not only I use emoticons, I also use [grin] to ensure the readers know that it was a sarcasm/joke to avoid misunderstandings.
Games! Does anyone have good sources to get games to download? I used to use have Michael Fox's (not the actor!) Web site, but it was long gone. :(
