Be careful if you do! My co-worker (apple certified) breaks the power button connector on about 1/2 the one's he's done. He's been fixing macs for 5+ years. He's good... its just poor craftsmanship. Kinda like the speaker connector on the older thinkpads.. my nemmisis. I'm not overly fond of cracking ibooks... and cracking is the right word =)
It all depends on who you take it to. If you take it to an apple store or send it to them, Yes your warranty is voided. If you take it to an authorized service center and they do it in shop, as long as theres no physical damage or spillage, they can swap out the part for ya. Its not hard to tell when someone's been playing in there. Theres thermal pads etc. Plus the drives have little apple logos on them.
$37k a year in Central PA is descent pay! You can get a 3+ bedroom house for that there. Unlike here in Eastern MA where I can't get a salt box shack for less than $200k. And I make less than you. Still I get more $$ than I did working in Pittsburgh, but I also pay more than 3 times as much in living expenses. Man I miss Pittsburgh but I'd rather move than get paid $6 for an Admin job.
Looks like it would make some of us one step closer to removing our tinfoil hats... Unless its just the government controlling the satalites. I think I need to stick my head in the microwave to take care of any RFID tags that might have been implanted without me knowing
Control Click is your friend! Essentially it is right clicking. That or get a two button USB mouse. If you buy office the word shortcuts are exactly the same minus the use of the Apple button for cut/paste purposes. STAY AWAY from installing anything norton. Its a GOOD utility booting from the cd, (if its an OSX version) but its useless if you install it. Make sure you enable bock popups and tabbed browsing in safari, but you still can use the beloved firefox if you want (camino is pretty good too!). You shouldn't have too much of a problem once you figure out where stuff hides. Apps are in the Apps folder, Utilities are in the Apps folder. With OSX switching doesn't have that much of a steep learning curve. If you are bangin your head against the wall about something, take a deep breath and think of the easiest possible way it could be done.. and thats probably it. Just sometimes you look over the easy things. Good luck!
Verizon customer myself. They looked at me funny when I asked if they had bluetooth phones in January. My experience with them is mixed. There service is unmatchable. I get coverage where no one else does. If you have to talk to someone you are in trouble. They will tell you what you want to hear. Doesn't matter how crazy it is. "If you buy that phone with this service plan I'll arange an orgy for you with the Pope and the Olson twins." So i wouldn't hold my breath for an update without some legal intervention.
now that I think about it you are probably right! IF I had kids i'd want to be more involved... especially since I would be the one playing it when they got in trouble =). I'd ASSume most/. gamers would be more involved when it came to games/systems.
IMHO the DS is gonna beat out the PSP. Grant it it will be a close race but the DS has the games. I'm sure there are loads of parents who will look at the DS for little timmy over the PSP just because he has 50 games to play for it already. I don't have the cash on hand to pay $150 for a console than another $50 just for something to play on it. I'm far more inclined to get the DS just for Castlevania and the other Vania GBA games I already have that it will be able to play. Its just not gonna be a total slaughter on either side. Just my 2 cents.... and no I don't know how to spell
Drummers are always concerned with grip on their sticks. I know numerous ones who prefere Gorilla Snot to keep a hold on things. I'm sure it could be used for controllers for a cheaper and less perminant solution.
I had a Nokia phone once. It SUCKED! I could sit it on the coffee table and watch it reboot itself without ever touching it. After having it replaced 4 times I switched to an LG phone. The LG hasn't given any problems whatsoever... minus the rapidly degrading battery life
well... 2 G4's (one of which is the wife's) the Kitchen Imac and a dead Ibook (toilet seat style). I have just as many pc's. Being a technician computers kinda gravitate to you. The reason for my generalizeation. Is I'm a Mac Tech on Cape Cod. we get all the P-town macs and happen across porn often. Men aren't usually shy about porn be it straight or not.
Well... living on the lower north side of Pittsburgh, heard a story about a woman with a batman fettish. To make it short she was tied to the bed when her husband jumped off the dresser, hit his head on the ceiling fan, knocking himself out. All she could do was scream till someone called the police. They found Batman knocked out on the floor with a naked woman tied up in bed. =)
"Most percentages are made up on the spot, Kent. 35% of the people know that." -Homer (_8(|)
At least they want to wait until they have a descent product before relasing it unlike M$
"Nintendo has said they want the DS to be a third pillar in gaming, with GCube and GBA as the other two."
So they are trying to create the Triforce? I thought Zelda was just a game!

I hear in this release Han doesn't shoot at all! Greedo dies of natural causes.
"Angelina Jolie pops her tiddies out"
-Does she really? I'd go see that... not that the world hasn't already seen them... Um.. maybe I'll rent it =)
you can build a shuttle for like 1/4 the price... Plus stay away from the M$ which could probably be hacked to take control of your car!

when its free to download and all you have to do is pick up a dead badger on the side of the road to install it on?

Ah but most male mac users aren't interested in chicks
