That comes with its own harddrive, waste of money if I already have one. And there's no way I'm installing a mod chip, I regularly play online and the DNAS server would ban me in a heartbeat..
I love how this post (and other pro-Nintendo posts) bring out the anti-Nintendo fanboys in SWARMS. It's hilarious to see them all get upset at Nintendo for doing so well. I love it.
I've been watching this game very closely for a few months now. At first I was thought it wouldn't be all that great, but after reading about it, watching videos, and viewing images, I'm psyched.
So... will this end up like the PS2? The PS2's harddrive was released LATE in it's life (at least, here in America), and was never support properly. The Japanese had a few games that used the harddrive, as did we, but they had more.. They had software specifically for the harddrive. Software that would allow them to buy stuff, e-mail, browse the web, download things, listen to music, etc. etc. Said software was never released here in America... Sony left the harddrive to die, on both continents. The only way to get one here is to buy it with Final Fantasy XI.
I wonder if Sony will end up not supporting the PS3 harddrive just like they did with the PS2?
I wish I had more to do with my harddrive than just FFXI.
I saw it yesterday at 8PM Eastern Standard Time. It was very good. Not the blood bath that people said it would be (lightsabers cauterize the wound, no blood!), but it did have a LOT of death and was quite the dark story. As the article says, the love scenes still aren't the best, but overall, it is a great movie.
So... Without modifying anything, I can run my copy of Windows XP Pro (and, according to your post, Win98 and below), and run Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks on my hypothetical Xbox?
So you can get a PS1 and 9 PS1 memory cards for less than the $15 (maybe even less) that would be required to buy a PS1 memory card and play it on your PS2?
How is MS what they are because of backwards compatibility? Last I checked, the Xbox was MS's first system, they had (and currently have) nothing to be backwards compatible with.
They were flops? Then, tell me, why did Wind Waker receive the most preorders of any Zelda game ever? I do believe it also received the most preorders of ANY GAME ever! Flop? My ass. Luigi's Mansion and Mario Sunshine were received very well. They were criticized, yes, but they didn't do horribly. I think someone's just upset that they didn't get their "realistic" Zelda already.
Why would you count the size of one's pr0n collection in gigabits? Spend more time looking at the pr0n instead of calculating how many bits it takes up!
Still, you don't have to buy them. You can still play without them. Really, you're making a big deal out of nothing. If the expansion doesn't offer anything you want, don't buy it.
No one ever said you had to buy these expansions, did they? FFXI has had two expansions (one of them was free for North American players, but the second one cost money). Guess what? It has a monthly fee! I do believe Everquest had many expansions, and it has a monthly fee as well! Whoa!!
No, the parent means that he hopes it doesn't require Xbox Live! for ALL facets of the game. Steam, on the PC version, requires you to be connected to the internet to play offline mode. The parent is hoping that you won't need to be connected to Xbox Live! to play offline as well.
That's how most online games are. In order to get the free trial, you need to input your credit card information.

That's what the PSP is for.
Quake 2 didn't have a grappling hook by default, it was built into many mods. Trust me, I've spent a LONG time playing Quake 2.

*SPOILER WARNING*
Anakin is Darth Vader!!
<_<

My keyboard and headset are constantly plugged into those USB ports. My mouse gets plugged in when I play FFXI. They are quite useful.

45GB * 20 discs = 900GB
There hasn't been any news on the GBA2 at all. Basically Nintendo pulled a 3DRealms and said "It's coming."
Doom 1 and 2, WADs. Quake 1, paks. Quake 2, pk2s. Quake3, pk3s. Doom 3, pk4s.
Ah! That might explain it! East of Eden was also by Steinbeck.
Whoa, what's that from? I remember reading about the Salinas Valley in East of Eden, but don't remember that quote./

Well, hopefully Half-Life 2 won't be the first to do so.

I found that funny. Too bad I lack mod points at the moment...
Yep, as the AC said, this isn't Japan, this is the US, so we need some US numbers.
2:1? My ass. Show me numbers that display show that the PSP is outselling the DS by 2:1.
