I've been thinking of getting a nice little MacMini to compliment my PC. And it sure isn't because of the iPod (I still want to get one, but spending a couple hundred dollars more for a full-fledged computer makes more sense).
Alright, I hadn't heard much in the way of problems from my friends who actually play the game. I was just pointing out how the poster said the forums were broken and then went ahead and said the whole game was broken, just because the forums were broken.
Running a virtual drive does not make the disc suddenly writable. I have all of my game discs ripped to my harddrive and I use Daemon Tools to use them, but they are not magically writable. They are still read-only.
Have you even played it? It is anything but a POS. Honestly, I'm kind of disapointed they went with the new look. The cel-shaded look was unique, it added style to the game and it looked damn good.
Duping items was a D2 bug that existed when players logged out of a game and quickly logged back into the game before it closed, or something. I don't remember the exact details. It had a lot to do with timing. I don't see how this could be done on a persistant world, such as that of WoW. Besides, do you really think they would have neglected this? They probably coded the game with these kind of bugs and exploits IN MIND. It's only practical.
The hack is available via a game (PSO), a game that will run on the Revolution. Whether or not PSO can still go online on the Revolution will determine whether or not this hack will work. And even then, the homebrewed programs won't work because they were coded for the GC, not the Revolution.
How do you propose we mod games on a read-only media? If the developer hasn't put calls into the game to specifically query the harddrive for the mods, there is no way you can mod the game. It just can't work.
You ARE using Windows, under the WINE environment, yes, but you are using Windows just the same. Therefore you should be given access to the updates to the software you bought.
They fought against Graal because Graal was using the name "Zelda Online." Did Nintendo make Zelda Online? No. Were people going to get the impression that Nintendo did play a hand in ZO, based on the name? Yes. Just the same with Wiki. It looks EXACTLY like Wind Waker. Many people WILL think it is Wind Waker. This isn't good.
As for non MMORPGs not being shutdown: OoT2D (a 2D, overhead, ala LTTP version of Ocarina of Time) received a cease-and-desist from Nintendo.
Cool, that's good to know, actually. But the thing is, do they go online? That may be one of the reasons they allow you to use the keyboard and mouse: it isn't unfair to other players because you can't really use the advantage against them.
You can remove the link. It's easy, just get rid of the A HTML tag, and you're good to go! w00t!
Oh my god! That's disgusting!! And yes, disgusting is an appropriate word in this case! That's freaking horrible!! I laugh heartily.
I'm buying a MacMini later this year because I want the stability of a Mac with the easy to use UI that OSX has.
Games? I'm keeping my PC for the games. There's no way I would ever dump my PC. You can have BOTH. It's not either/or.

CSS is related to open source... how?
They are way better than the over-hyped OS X interface.. :P
Which is many times better than that nasty explorer interface...
That'd be KProfit.
It's actually quite an intelligent post, but one would not expect you to read it anyway.
And what? Put all those popcorn salesmen and ticket rippers out of their after-school jobs? Nope, at least not for now.
We do more than just rip tickets ya know! We clean up the messes you guys leave behind. You dirty, dirty slobs.
I did not know that, that sucks.

Broken forums != broken game. From what I can tell, the game is running just fine.

Grandparent pwnage!
I for one welcome our new innovative gaming overlords. Amen.

Just reading this quote of him makes me think he doesn't have a photo collection or a music collection. Or any kind of hobbies for that matter.
