Keep it in your pocket, we can't tell. Seriously, with how small these phones are, us ticket-tearers can't really tell if you even have one on you.
"Yea... um... I need you to empty out your pockets... Why? You may.. um... have a cellphone in there. While you're at it, might as well take your pants off."
Sounds like an open beta tester to me... I had those issues with open beta (I never encountered the queue, but loot lag was QUITE common, though they did get it ironed out within the first three or four days).
Am I the only one that read that as "Wireless mouse with no buttons"? I stared at my monitor for a bit, trying to figure out how that would work, then I realized I read it wrong...
I lost my memory card to this demo, but I, too, had backed up most of my saves onto the harddrive. There was maybe one, two at most, saves that I hadn't backed up because I had just recently acquired the game (within the past month). This still pisses me off though, how the hell does something like this get past them???
You mean, Ace Combat 5:Unsung War. I got a PS2 demo disc in the mail yesterday and one of the demos on it was Ace Combat 5:Unsung War. Not trying to be mean, just nitpicking...
Also, it takes forever to get anywhere. I nearly quit playing after my second day because i was so bored just walking from place to place; it can take 15 minutes, just walking, to get to certain areas. If you wanted to walk across the entire map, you could be talking about hours.
Don't even play FFXI, the world is freaking HUGE. In the time it took me to get from Dolonaar to Darnassus to Auderpine (WoW), about 10-15 minutes, I would have gotten through two areas in FFXI (leaving Bastok, South Gustburg, and most of the way through North Gustaburg). FFXI was "lovingly" referred to as "The Walking Game" by my friend's dad. It has stuck ever since. WoW, in comparison to FFXI, seemed relatively small, yet huge at the same time.
As for druids, I was one too. They weren't that bad, but many classes were better than them. I was able to solo to level 12 (I couldn't play for the first two days, and a lot of time was spent exploring and upping my professions), but then the servers went down.
I don't care about legalities here. I never cried DRM. They've freaking sold a defective product. Defective? Yes, defective. You CANNOT play it out of the box. It has to be decrypted! It has to connect to steam and verify EVERYTHING you do! What is that?? That's not trusting your customers, that's what it is! If Valve doesn't trust their customers and has to put all of this crap in it to verify that the customer's are entirely legal, then they are only alienating their customers, making them feel like criminals.
You drew a NICE parallel there, I laughed out loud when i saw the URL for the link (I recently did a research project comparing the salem witch trials and the mccarthy hearings).
Valve is trying to protect their product, yes, but they've also created massive headaches and delays for those trying to install it, pissing off many fans. If Valve had not made the anti-piracy measures so bad, they would be making more money. This is just ENCOURAGING piracy! Why buy the game and go through all of this shit when you can download a cracked version and play? Valve will feel this one in the morning. I know I would've gotten Half-Life 2 if they didn't include all this crap.
Shiznet is banned too, and ass, even if it is used in words (assassination works fine, but I don't think assess does; it's been a while since I've played though). This is on the Gamecube version.
It doesn't matter how powerful the system is. The parents of these kids that need to be kept quiet in the back seat of the car will go for the cheaper and more well known alternative. "Nintendo...? Hm... I've heard that before..." "Mommy! Mommy! They're the same guys who made my Gameboy!" *CHA CHING--money for Nintendo*
Is the state of console games really so bad that this one, as moderately entertaining instead of godawful, is the best currently available?
No, there's a game called TimeSplitters 2, for all three consoles no less. I suggest you pick it up. Single player is alright, but it really shines in multiplayer.
I'd be a little more scared to drop the PSP. Nintendo's systems have always been very durable. I've dropped both my Gamecube and my PS2 on the cement outside my house, and they function fine. My friend dropped his PS2 on the cement outside his house, Disc Read Errors up the wazoo... I try to move my PS2 as little as possible, for fear it'll break.
Dude, I have a job. And I'm 16, so my own place is out of the question.

Yea, too many MMORPGs don't let you try the game out before you buy it. They give you a free month or so, yes, but there's no free demo version of the game. In allowing people to play this game in beta a week or so before release, Blizzard will have a lot more people lined up to buy the game upon release, which is always good.
And I've been telling my mom we need to preorder, but NOO! Bah, if I don't get one preordered and will have to wait till almost Christmas to get one, I won't be a happy gamer (though I'll cheer up a bit when I finally get that sweet, sweet DS in my hands).
And are all 15,500 sites about how maxtor drives suck? I guarentee you the aren't. I've been using maxtor drives for as long as I can remember, and not one has failed. I still have a maxtor from five years ago and it's still running fine.
This would be absolutely AWESOME at school! There are TVs all over the place and turning them off would annoy the staff sooo much! haha, I can see it now
It's been known that the Revolution will be backwards compatible. This will help Nintendo, especially with MS's move to ditch it, as you said. I really feel as if MS isn't going to have much of a presence in the next-gen of consoles. Nintendo will hopefully have a bigger presence, and Sony will still be up there...
Oh, and just so you know, I have played all three Tribes, all three Quakes, Unreal, and UT2k4. So, yes, I can say these things based on actually playing the games.
By Tribes 3, I assume you mean Tribes Vengeance. And it is FAR from the best PC FPS ever made. Tribes 2 is much closer to that. Tribes 2 has much more depth and strategy than Tribes Vengeance will ever have. Tribes 2 over all plays better than Tribes Vengeance will. Oh! But I like T:V because I can just pick it up and play! Nothing to learn! That's exactly why T:V sucks. T2 required you to LEARN the game, to make friends and get GOOD. This ain't Quake or Unreal buddy, Tribes is totally different. T:V, however, is too much like UT and/or Quake. Too simplistic, too easy, not Tribes at all.

Hey, if he's a real video game freak then this will DEVESTATE him. If not make him smash a few things =P

You get killed for swearing? (I'm assuming that's what the big KILLED means)

All three Dooms, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, yes. I didn't use those as comaparisons though, so I forgot to include them.

Haha, yea. I have 18 invites over my three accounts... NOONE will take them, but hey, that just means I get more accounts =P
