I don't care what my school uses, I've intalled Portable Firefox to a flash drive that I use as well as to my student directory on the school's network. So now, no matter which computer I'm on I can use Firefox (I have the OSX version on my flash drive as well). It's really the only way, the school administration will never listen.
And to convince game developers that Linux is a viable platform, the community needs to act more mature. Wintendo? Seriously. What is wrong with saying Windows? I doubt any company will develop a game for Linux if it will be associated with a community that refers to Windows users as Wintendo users and Bill Gates as the devil. (Oh, can't forget Micro$oft with a dollar sign!) Maturity is the first step, THEN comes the technical stuff or what have you.

but hey, irrationally shutting down an entire organization is way better than fixign the problems
Can't argue there! Hey, while we're at it, might as well get rid of the entire government but have no replacement ready!
You only have to wait as long as it takes you to buy a Gamecube, then you can play it on Gamecube in all it's superiority! Seriously, the PS2 version will be toned down a LOT in the graphical department. Why would you want that? Besides, the GC is only $99 and has many other great games as well.
Has this actually been confirmed yet? How is this supposed to work when the Revolution can play Gamecube games?? You can't play many of those games without a D-Pad. I'd take this with a grain of salt.
Don't hold your breath, they have nothing to show yet, they've missed their self-appointed deadline, and act like children on the Xlink boards. Would a serious development team behave in such a manner? I think not.
Sony's won sales-wise because their systems break EASILY. Nintendo's won in the hardware quality department. And the game quality too, but no one seems to appreciate a good game these days. "OMG!! Dis game [insert generic Xbox/PS2 title] has l337 grafix!! It totally owns tht pikmin game!!" Pikmin was probably one of the most innovative games this gen, but it was pretty much ignored because "Nintendo is teh kiddy!! har har"
Nintendo builds reliable systems, that's why I choose Nintendo.
It's called, I don't give a shit. I don't play the game, so why should I care? I'm just saying, that's the first thought that popped into my head. And it's not a totally unreasonable one, is it? Valve may be in bed with Microsoft, Valve may not be. Oh well. I don't care, I refuse to buy the game anyway.
I was just about to ask the same thing. Did Valve intentionally break Steam under Cedega? If so, why?? Wouldn't they like to have MORE users? Not shut them out by forcing them to buy/pirate Windows?
You might be able to. When flash carts are inserted into the DS it says "A DS Option pack is inserted" where it normally says "Play GBA Game." The DS may be able to take advantage of this if Nintendo makes the DS see it as an "option pack."
How is Guild Wars not an MMORPG? It has all the makings of an MMORPG (save for the monthly fee). From what I've read, it's almost exactly like an MMORPG: persistant characters on a persistant world (Diablo didn't have a persistant world), among other things (things which I can't recal now...:-/ ).
The most recent patch (1.10, almost a year after the previous patch) doesn't automagically log you onto the chat rooms anymore. When you go to B.net, you're at a screen with the options to join/create a game, quit b.net, and join public chatroom. It's really nice.
Actually, patching does happen on consoles. It happens quite a bit on the Xbox, so I hear, and it happens a bit on the PS2. FFXI has a patching system, but it's an MMORPG (also on the PC), so that's kinda expected. SOCOM II, however, has had two patches and I also believe that StarWars: Battlefront has had two patches as well.
He's talking of the messenger service, which isn't an instant messaging client. It allows one to send messages directly to machines on a network, without other software running. It's really horrible (it gets spammed like crazy).
That's because if you're going to set up a 'blog,' you might as well understand how it works and do all the software stuff yourself. I've used Blogger, and I've also used MovableType. Currently I am on WordPress. Blogger was just way too easy, there was nothing to understand, other than "I put text here, hit 'update,' w00t!" MovableType and WordPress require the user to set up a database (last I checked, only WP needed a database) and understand how their server works. It ensures that those who use it are at least somewhat capable, or else have enough money to pay someone else to do it for them.
FF3-DS is the Japanese FF3, not the American FF3. JP FF3 has never made it to the states. Unless you were talking about JP FF3 this whole time, if so, disregard my comment.

"At least in the short term..." the article says. Hm... Maybe that plan on dumping Madden??

If only I had mod points, man.

99.9% may be over exaggerating a bit, just a bit.

Hahaha, it's a JOKE. It's even funnier that it got modded Informative =P

Get a hammer, bash the crap out of the song-serving laptop, say the elfs did it in retaliation of all the toys they are forced to make.

As if it isn't already??

It's kinda hard to have a monthly event when the game has only been out for a week, ya know?

Halo 2 would have ranked very close if it didn't have online only due to the ravenous fanboys.
