    I believe that should be left up to individual teachers and librarians. What works for some does not for all, and I don't want the government to enforce a bad idea on everybody.

    The only Yahoo! service I use anymore is Yahoo! Mail, and I'd drop that in a heartbeat if I had a Gmail invite in my hand. Any takers?

    So everyone using Linux 2.2.6 and OpenOffice 2 is better than WindowsXP and OpenOffice? I fail to see the difference. Either way you have a staunch majority and lack the divertiy you seek.

    We don't want to see Linux and OpenOffice dominate. We just want to see consumers have a choice.

    Chernobyl is a bad comparison to the modern nuclear power for three reasons:

    -It was a reactor designed for the production of weapons-grade uranium that had been converted to produce power.
    -The situation that caused the reactor to explode was caused by tests. These tests are not part of standard operating procedure for any modern nuclear power plant. -The safety systems were INTENTIONALLY DISABLED to prevent them from interfering with tests.

    If anything, Chernobyl wasn't the failure of the reactor, but a failure of common sense.

    Maybe because the NRA already does that and the ACLU doesn't want to waste money that can be put to other causes?

    Perhaps because they refer to not conforming to a social norm as not conforming to a social norm, and not as a disease?
