    One wonders why these literal rocket scientists didn't just get a software programmable Linux or PalmOS based wrist-computer and hack together a Mars-time display application into it?

    Maybe it's because they've got better things to do with their time?

    Movies cost the same amount to go see whether it's just one gigantic advertisement for Preperation H or an actual movie with plot.

    Actually, they cost less. I think prices have at least doubled in the past several years, while advertising has increased. "Go figure."

    But you can exchange it for another copy, and the store is left with a useless plastic disc. And I'm sure they'll let the manufacturer know about that.

    Yeah, that's called execution. And you can't execute everyone, because then who's going to support your country (the game)?

    I don't think what you're describing is very surprising. Most people just want to live their lives/play their games, and don't care too much about the politics of it all.

    Well then, a lot of kids are pretty stupid for drinking things that they don't understand. Maybe if they educated themselves about DXM, they would realize not to drink cough syrups with other chemicals in them (eg. acetaminophen). This is a matter of education, not control. Though it's not like the information isn't plentiful online anyways.

    I'm running Winamp 5.0beta2 and it's rather nice. All the features of Winamp 2 + all the features of Winamp 3 = Winamp 5. That means all the fancy skins, plus all the video support and everything else.

    You can get it here if you want to try it out, though it is an *unofficial* release. Works great, though.
