When I watched the trailer, I'd heard that the show and movie were written by the same mav who wrote buffy.
Later when I actually watched the series, it took me a while to realize that the butt kicking character in the trailer is totally different. Instead, the series focuses on who she is and why she's so crazy. There's no kicking from her.
Okay, the AC's got to it first.. Someone mod them up.
Just watched the series a few weeks ago. Downloaded the series and now have the DVD set. Actually, I bought the DVD soon after being disappointed by Star wars...
What I like is:
Fun characters + The way the show wrenches with your expectations all the time + The weirdness of the western in space concept.
I suggest you watch the first 2 or 3 episodes. If you don't like it, then you probably won't end up liking it later.
Well, these money spending people like it well enough to post 80 reviews. Although, there's a good chance that they're all just gushing nerds too.
As a side note people here and there seem to like it enough (over 2000 reviews averaging 5 stars..)
I don't know if you can find the DVD at your local rental store (I haven't been to one of those for a while).. but that might be an alternative.
Money is all about numbers. Billions of financial transations occur around the world and the only thing that happens is the someone agrees to change their number one way and someone else agrees to change their number to other way.

So the obvious answer is the government should educate the public about the internet. We should start some sort of federally funded institutions that are supposed will teacch the public about stuff they're too lazy to figure out themselves.
Being a nerd, it's hard to be impartial. Obviously tastes differ for everyone. The point is, try watching the first three episodes and see if you're enjoying it.
If you like it, buy the DVDs. One thing I like about the show is that it can go from a serious situation to something funny in the same minute. And also, the stories throw you around by leading you to believe something obvious is going to happen. And then doing someting else.

Try playing a game with mp3 player as the object. Took it 28 guesses to find it for me. Tried to post the results, but slashdot thinks question marks are lame.
If any state tried to pass such a law, McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and all the other big chain restaurants and franchisers would march an army of lobbyists into that state's capitol and promise every single state legislator that a vote in favor of that bill would be their ticket out of office come the next election, guaranteed.
Who do you think the porn industry will send? Surely they won't leave the issue with bunches of free speech activists.
" Not to be too facetious, but a web site with information for breast cancer patients probably has lots of pictures of topless women, too.
But that wouldn't be pornography. Or obscenity.
Maybe it's been a while since you were an 11 year old boy discovering the Internet.

Oh by the way, don't mod me insightful.
I didn't pay much attention to it until I heard that there was a movie coming out and both comics comics put up strips about the trailers..
Joss Whedon is the creator of Firefly.
Comic on the previews..

A fun short story.

Isn't that what Bobba Fett does?

And yes, it asked the breadbox question.
I thought that most people would have it the other way around. (Dvorak at home and qwerty at work)
Wow, I never thought of it that way.. I always hated the way that the letters were moved.
Profit?
What would China do?

Everytime I hear someone say "That's gay!" it makes me cringe. How's that for brainwashing the young?
