Ah, the portable gaming thread! I have a question for those who look out at this sort of thing. I'm in Toronto and take the subway to work and my estimate is 1.5 PSPs per DS. I may be missing a lot of them because most of the time I end up asleep. But the thing that strikes me is that the PSP owners seem to be black guys. I don't just mean ghetto looking black guys. I see blinged out guys, high school kids, and working professional black guys with PSPs.
Anyone else notice this sort of trend? Or is it all in my head?
I had a hunch about what the big shocker in FF7 would be before I ever played the game. How? My friends played the game on their Playstations at home, while I played Warcraft II on my PeeCee. They wouldn't stop talking about it to each other. All of our downtime in gym class was spent talking about the cool stuff we found out about the game. The best combination of materia, figuring out where certain items lay hidden, plot points, finding out that death mages could raise the dead (I remember thinking that was the coolest thing ever). Anyway, my friends were anti-spoiler types so they kept the chats about plot points quiet when I was around, but I managed to pick up a lot of hints from the context.
Shouldn't the title be "It's no panacea"? I.e. There is NO cure-all because P2P is based on connecting directly to other IPs. That's simply how P2P.. yada yada..
Or is this one of those Americanisms where words/phrases/idioms suddenly mean exactly the opposite of what they actually say and we're supposed to accept the fact that language is always changing?
LOVFL?? My first guess is laugh out freakin loud. If that's correct, this has to be one of the stupidest acronyms I've encountered. I mean "lol" is already annoying because it makes you move a single finger to type both of the letters one after another (or adopt a non-standard fingering for your loling). But why would you add in a fv in there?? Is this like Internet twister or something? LOFVOL!
I think if that happens, eBay will be the only place where you could get Linux compatible Zunes. I mean what are the chances that Microsoft won't create version that blocks Linux? After that it's gonna be a slim chance that Microsoft would make GL version to support their Linux customer base;)
Just explain to them that you could setup their computer so that whenever their 13 year old teen fucks up Windows, they can press a button to restore the old state of the OS. All of a sudden virtualization is useful again!
or Comparing Grape Juice to Wine (The alcoholic beverage, not the Windows emulation thingie).
Grape juice is easy. You squeeze grapes and this watery stuff comes out. It tastes sweet (after the sugar) and is appropriate for all ages!
(Even your mom can drink it!)
Wine is for hardcore Linux users who are not content with ONLY running an alternative operating system, but will also configure a second virtual environment within that OS to run applications from the mainstream application. Applicable to a small subset of people who either have too much time on their hands, love to play with the coolest software, or require the power of Linux.

May I suggest the uncyclopedia may be a more appropriate place to publish your work.
Use whitespace after the smiley. (like so :) )
It's not too hard to think about inverses. Take: y = x^(1/2) for example. To find the inverse, simply swap x and y, then solve for y.
x = y ^(1/2)
x^2 = y
Tada! Hope that helps.
For reference, the definition of a reciprocal is when you swap the numerator and denominator of a fraction.
Thus x^(1/2) becomes 1/( x^(1/2) )
Mac/OS-X??
GNU/OS-X, people! Get with it!
Honest question: Would you be satisfied if GP has written, "And in a sitationally-ironic turn of events, your insightful comment was modded funny."
Seriously, does situational irony count?

Aren't there versions of DDR for the gamecube? Would those controllers/games be compatible on the Wii?
I was going to write something up, but I realized that Candyman summarized my understanding of the "problem".

Not only that, it gets brought up in every slashdot article about the next gen consoles profit. It usually gets modded insightful everytime. Except when its redundant. ;)c id=16841022
