Whats sad is that the "everyman" personality of Bush is just a facade, I'm not a Bush fan but the man does have some intelligence. He goes out of his way to look like an average Joe(verbal gaffes aside, some really smart people I know make a lot of gaffes to). He knows that acting stupid wins him more votes than acting intelligent. He even criticized Kerry for being a New England blue blooder despite the fact that Bush is also a New England blue blooder who adopted a fake Texas accent.....

can it just come out already?! Apple has all but abandoned it's desktops(there hasn't been a significant refresh in over 9 months of any of the desktop lines) but pimps this stupid $500/600 phone like there is no tomorrow. I'm just hoping that once this damn thing is released Apple will remember that it makes computers too.
Couldn't Germans just sign up with another countries gmail and then use that? Or is the german government going to force ISPs(which they have a large say in one of the largest ones, Telekom) to block access to gmail? I am an American currently living in Germany and I use my gmail account(which I registered for while I was still a student at Penn State) as my main email address. Would I be affected by this? TFA is pretty light on details.
that a security breach was responsible for this? Someone breaks into the microsoft distribution area and silently puts Ubuntu there and leaves, knowing that Microsoft probably would not notice for days.
better than public? Not really. For example, in CS you have places like UC Berkley, University of Maryland, University of Washington that are competitive with places like MIT and CMU. All those schools are public(though they might as well be private for students out of state, but I digress)
A lot of people like denigrating public universities, but I don't really understand why. To be honest, they are some pretty bad public universities, but there are also bad private schools as well (Patriot University, Regent University etc)
If you exchange money at the airport you are doing it wrong. Horrible, HORRIBLE rates. Find an ATM, or if you must exchange some money for local transport to the city(because you can't find/don't trust an airport ATM), just exchange enough to get to the city, then hit up an ATM. They almost always give better rates than you can get with a travelers check or cash.
Really? In Germany it is the exact opposite, non-cash ways of paying for things are still, relatively speaking, rare. The big places will all take plastic, but many Germans still prefer to pay for whatever they can in cash. The Germans are the ones that insisted on making a 500 euro bill(though I have yet to see one personally, maybe because I'm so poor:P)
When I lived in Japan it was pretty cash based too, though between when I lived there in 2003 and when I went there in 2006, the number of places that took plastic grew significantly.
See, I KNEW they were good for something. Let me guess, the reason you opted for MBAs over mice is that there is far less protests when you do cruel medical experiments on the MBA students than with mice, correct?
You aren't talking about the Academic Game "Propaganda"(under the new rules anyway, I'm such an old timer I can remember when your score was based on consensus and the answer, but anyway) are you?
is to ban SUVs. Even with a protective cage, I still don't think that a smart car could really withstand the impact of an SUV, esp. considering the SUV would probably drive right over it if the SUV was coming from behind. And given my experience with SUV drivers, more likely than not they are at fault for accidents.
SUVs are WMDs, lets ban them and we will save countless lives(of course those with small penises will be upset, but hey)
With the low wages and thankless bosses/customers and high churn rate of tech support?! Are you crazy? I'm sure those passwords will stay secure for about a day. Not to mention you would open up a HUGE channel for phishing. "Hello, we are from Dell and need to use your screen to run a few commands to check the status of your computer. We have been getting some cases of broken computers giving out data they shouldn't and we want to make sure yours isn't corrupted"
While some people on here despise flash, it could possibly take advantage of the multi-touch interface on the iPhone without leaving the Safari sandbox. Not to mention a lot of popular sites such as homestarrunner.com use it. $500 for a revolutionary smart phone whose browser isn't as good as the psps? No thanks.
Steve promised in an interview with Walt Mossberg that there was going to be large investments in desktops, but nothing materialized. Other than the 8 core bto option Apple hasn't really updated any of it's desktops in a year, and the mac mini is hilariously underpowered for what it costs. Come on Apple, phones are great, and the new macbook pro is tempting even though I would have to get rid of my powerbook, but we really need new desktops more than youtube on my tv or $600 phones!
Oy, have Germans EVER met a tax they didn't like?
Thats all great, just as long as you can't smell the people who borrowed it before you....

they should be forced to give their jobs to low paid H1B workers.

Since when is a price tag an effective means of combating malware?
:P
Well, it does mean that there are only 5 potential victims for your malware

what we REALLY should do is send the jism of all our smartest people out into deep space.
Having done experiments on MBA students

In the long run yes, but that is pretty meaningless if the test is offered only once a year....

Captions/tags would be useful. For example, are they saving their urine in bottles in this picture?
I mean, on one side we have google, a tremendously useful tool that has saved me countless hours when troubleshooting problems/doing research.
And on the other side we have paypal who called me a liar on the phone because I told them that they, not I, made a mistake
So hard to choose sides!
is because they are embarrassed of the fact that a T-rex managed to steal the original one and now they need a replacement.

No, you can't slay George Lucas, but you CAN roll for initiative to see who really shoots first!
Abstract nouns are always a good choice too:
You get messages like:
God has wondered off
Love has contracted cholera

The growth is amazing!
