The warming is a toxic pollution, because it's happening so fast.
Ocean acidification is a direct consequence of increased carbon emissions.
If we manage to kill off our oceans, we will all die. That's my concern. So I think we should make a real, sincere (but not panicky) effort to change this.
Or, you could try being more civil and friendly with people.
That's not to say waste their time, but as opposed to grunting out "coffee with sugar" you could try something along the lines of "hi, how are you? could i get a coffee with sugar, please".
a) you'll be amazed at the level of service you receive. I frequently get nice "extras" added to my order because the worker is so amazed to be treated like a human being.
b) you'll also reduce the chances of nasty "extras" such as spit or urine.
I'd like think that what you're saying is true, that the insane focus on quarterly earnings is due to government regulations, because that would make it (relatively) easy to fix.
I can even see how it might be true.
But I'd love to see some evidence that this is the case. Please!
When I started working on my game several years ago, I decided to actually *use* the hardware. As a result, almost nobody could even play it reliably until the last couple years or so.
In other words, I am insane--unlike professional game studios.
If yer curious it's free please please come play my game:-)
It's a shame really. I no longer have a distro that I feel really comfortable recommending to non-techie users. In my opinion, Shuttleworth has pissed away most of his very well earned respect in the community.
I've long felt that Ubuntu was the only really "complete" distro for the desktop. Other ones come close, but they tend to have one major issue or another for regular users. Ubuntu had the least, by far. Sucks.
First Unity, now this. They both suck. I mean, they really do.
In other words, SWATting somebody should be charged as attempted murder.
fortunately, your glass-half-empty world view will not come true to the extent that you think it will.
seriously, go find some objective facts intead of re-spewing right wing blather. it's nowhere near as bad as you describe.
http://f-droid.org/ for half the win!

I've noticed a large increase in asinine drivel being modded to 5 since Dice bought /.

Yes, and that may be why we end up on the ass end of history.

Privacy problems would disappear--except for legal warrantless wiretaps.
Still, you're right.
...and what was the horrible thing he did, again? That he's even facing federal charges at all?
The only problem with your plan is that normal people will not every understand it. And a system which only an elite understands....
What double standard? Good technicians are encouraged to explore the network.
Or do we just want to let the Chinese develop good security knowledge?
He didn't destroy anything, that's the point.
What is wrong with you?

Encryption doesn't help with this.
Think about it. How do they know you're sharing a file? Because it was advertised as being available at your IP address.
Encrypt all you like--that only helps with eavesdropping.
lol they're not "statists", they're just idiots.
I assure you, 99% of the elected politicians in this country have no idea what a statist is.
I don't think you're going to win many arguments using that word.
Well, even if you could do all that, that's not something most people are going to actually do.
I mean, have you tried to explain what it means to root your phone to a non-techie? It's a proposition from Liechtenstein.
Wow. Yeah. It's an amazing innovation. Totally patentable.
I mean, more than one server. My mind is blown.

You mean, apathy about all these lazy n*ggers?
I'm just trying to understand your statement in context.
Have we forgotten about simple things like, for example, establishing who was where and when? You know, alibis?
If it's a "string" of rapes, surely one of the brothers has an alibi for one of them, at least?
No one said the software was very good.
Stop being horrified. Everyone falls behind at some point. It's called life.
Catching up now and then is no big deal. Relax and enjoy college.
Maybe that's what they want. Maybe they don't want people in their country to see sites that are hosted on your servers.
Just sayin'...I'm sympathetic because I have the exact same problems.
