Stop worrying about every little thing that can kill you
Hmm, I would say that things don't get much bigger than global. Or would your only worry be something, say, astronomical, like the Sun going nova?
Thanks for explaining! It seems to make sense from a 1998 perspective. 1995-1998 must have been the age that everything went wrong: Amiga finally died, Apple had lost vision, everybody bought cheap poorly compatible PC-hardware, few had heard of Linux, and there was the lure of something that was called 'user-friendly': Windows...
But, most importantly, what tasks can you, as a user, do with a $500 PC that you can't with the $500 Mac?
The question is not really what you can and can't do with a Mac, but that you can do it faster.
I can get more work done on a Mac in the same amount of time as on Windows, and that quickly makes up for the slightly higher start price of most Macs.
I know this feeling from playing a lot of Graphsim F18 Hornet. But I'm not a pilot and it sure is strange trying to pull up the nose of my bicycle because the ground is too close!

That would be Spitsbergen in Dutch. Means 'pointed moutains', which I believe is quite what the island looks like. I used the Danish name Svalbard to keep the Vikings here alert:-)
USA: We have Alaska, the pole is ours. Canada: We have Hudson Bay, the pole is ours. Russia: we have Siberia, the pole is ours. Denmark: we have Greenland, sort of, the pole is ours.
Sheez, Holland used to have Svalbard and Jan Mayen, can we claim too? Oh, and some of us spent some time on Nova Zembla, we must have a strong case...
But you, as receiver, will know what is spam and what is a real message. So you will instruct your spam filter to learn to make the same distinction. Your spam filter will become like you.

The comparison of truck loads of printed paper is a bit silly, if it's music.
My hoard of actual printable documents, since my Amiga days around 1997, is only 100Mb.
Then again, I rarely use Word, most are ascii files.
I won't tell about the amount of photos and video I have...

Why on earth would you want to program a payroll system in ActiveX?

Point b) is exactly why a friend of me got his 80-year old Gran a Mac, and she's happily emailing along now.

My Commodore 128D, 1987, had 'Personal Computer' printed on the front in large friendly letters.
I think we should apply humanistic principles to any sentient being, whether it's biological, mechanical or silicon.
Yes, taking a curve takes longer after gaming - wingtips and not wanting to loose altitude while turning :-)
I've got a whole HUD overlay on my eyes...
So... Gamers are normal and non-gamers are the exception?

I like the debate your typo generated, I never got -1 offtopic/+1 underrated before :-)

It would be a small step to turn an intelligent spam filter into a satisfying mail-replyer, considering what most people say in the mails I receive...
