I totally agree with your statement, and can even extend it to LOTR.... There were many omissions in that screen epic series. I've just been listening to the Dune series on tape(mp3) and there really is a lot of internal dialog that won't lend itself well to an epic film. I'll still see it when it hits the theater, we will see won't we?
I have some songs I've written, you can have all the copies you like. It just sits in a notebook, no one reads it, it brings enjoyment to no one. I think I have a picture I drew somewhere too.... If you're into art for the $ake of the money, you've already missed the point of art. Did any of the "masters" get much money for the paintings they painted at the time? No, but today it's some stuffed shirt with too much money paying some other stuffed shirt too much moneny for something they had no hand in producing.... yet they get richer and richer. Take my art, please, show it, enjoy it, get it out there! Let other's enjoy it! That's what art should be for;-}

I run VMware on a beefy server, and installs of winwillitblow are lightning fast. XP in 30min logged in, give or take a minute or two... I use it for testing, but have two production servers running virtually, they each have one purpose is all, and nothing mission critical.

What if there were a time machine, that saved you LOTS of time, enabled you to travel places 100's of times faster than previously known, but IT had a draw back, there were many deaths in using this new "time machine". Later it becomes discovered that it is also harming the environment. It's already in use, get the hell out of your CAR!!!
I live in The Netherlands, (this is a very tolerant country) for 8 years now, and I thought the word "tolerance" was a good thing.... Let me tell you something, it sucks. I would rather be accepted. When you tolerate something, you don't necessarily like it. Are you too much of a coward to let it be known that you don't like it, or is tolerance the Politically Correct way of saying you don't like it and don't care enough to change it? When will you say, "I've stands all I can stands and can't stands no more!"?
In the end how you feel is just a United State of mind.... icky or other wise.
I just read a/. post that said the opposite, higher heat, means more evaporation, which makes a denser atmosphere, which would cool the planet, don't have time to search for the post, am out the door for drinks! after all, it's 18:20hrs where I am...
