If you don't work only for money/good CV but you value being satisfied by the outcome of you job, working for Apple is probably much better than working for Microsoft. For example, if your field of specialization is writing software for mp3 players, would you find more satisfying being an iPod or a Zune developer?

Because it has still awful memory leaks. I use FF to play an "html only" MMO (mostly due to some helpful greasemonkey scripts not working on chrome) and after 1 hour of play it is using 1 Gb (and when it doesn't reach that limit it's because it crashed before)...
1. A new analysis of millennia old mummy bones shows high concentrations of tetracycline. 2. The researchers traced the source of the antibiotics to the soil bacteria streptomyces present in the grain used to ferment the beer. 3. Even the tibia and skull belonging to a 4-year-old were full of tetracycline.
Why my conclusion isn't "the population regularly consumed tetracycline antibiotics knowing that it would cure certain sicknesses." but "the Nubian were a bunch of alcoholics, including the children"?
I understand the fire part ("Damn, I saw a picture of him drunk on FB but cannot use that to fire him!") but I don't understand how they can enforce that when hiring ("Hmm, I saw a picture of him drunk on FB so I don't want to hire him. I'll just say his CV isn't good enough").

For a company of such size, they failed way too much in the new stuff they tried (Zune, Playforsure, Live Search, Vista, Kin...). One could simply think that they're quite unable to come with something both new (or copied) and successful.

If your application do something useful, it's probably on their list.
If it's only nice looking fluff, it will be accepted.
Why I'm not sure that hiring a person that worked for the producers of Kin (AND Zune) is the best way to save Nokia from decline?

I don't think it would be the first time that the US government do something harmful to its citizens:

So they get a "preview" of malware, refuse to fix their OS for months after exploits go live and instead blame people that published info about them?
So does that mean you're equiparating full frontal nudity to porn?
So getting distracted to post on /. is planned?
1. Read three posts per hour
2. Read TFA every three hours
3. Post a comment every seven hours.
