No no no, you got it wrong. It'd be "xXxSEPIROTH666xXx".
But seriously, I was under the impression that the multiplayer "story" was going to be unlocked as you gained levels, somehow. I don't think it'd be like WoW, where everyone is in the same map.
That brings back bad memories. Had to reinstall Kubuntu because something got seriously messed up. I test out my backups. They restored just fine. I wipe the disk, and put Kubuntu back on. Try to restore the backups and....no luck.
I think it's partly because the target audience is probably not likely to pirate anyways. Perhaps because they don't want to piss off a large group of people with DRM? A much larger group than would normally care.
I remember seeing that at one point, the Steam Terms of Service said that they were not required to unlock games. Unless the ToS have changed, that trumps whatever Newell says.
I was playing the demo the other day. And it was almost all action. I haven't actually played much of the other REs (maybe 5 minutes of RE4...), but I was constantly waiting for less shooting, and more horror-survival stuff. It never really came:(
You know, I keep seeing this post everywhere about this topic. Yes it could've been better spent elsewhere, but so could all those hours lost to the internet and crapping.
Pirates already have an entitlement complex. Why would they want to do stuff for the sites they are using?
Unfortunately...that's not quite true. Steam, and especially Valve's games, have done quite well, despite the customer not owning the game.
..they could do the same thing with Halo for PC. I don't think that's necessarily the reason.
Please note that this also includes buying things on Steam.
It's open source, it's gonna take a while to catch up :p

Except when it's something you agree with, and in that case ballot stuffing is great! Or so I'm told whenever I bring up ballot stuffing.
A cop interpreting the law is a tad more worrisome than some smoker getting busted.

"Why cant people see this? Its posted again and again, and the pro-piracy kids just don't want to hear it."
I think you answered your own question.

Who knows. Just a conspiracy theory.
it'll appear in some other Slashdot thread until CmdrTaco does a fsck.
So it's going to be in another thread for eternity? :)
Wow, that is quite unfortunate!

Is the offline play option default? Or do you have to change things to get it to work?
*cough* like Half-life *cough*
Really? I honestly don't recall ever having to preserve ammo in Half-Life. Maybe it's just been too long since I've played it but...

I assume it's because the NRA is taking care of the 2nd amendment. There're better things to focus on, if a huge organization is working hard already.
I don't know. When the company claims that a product is still for "early adapters" two years after it's release...that's almost flop-worthy.

ICC is better at optimization than GCC.
You must be getting all the wrong players. Most of the people I hear talking on Halo 3 online sound much older than 10-12.
No. Zune users should be punished for using the Zune, and thus shouldn't be allowed to use Linux or OS X.
Well said.
