    I don't know that we would gain ground. I would think that the uncovered, new ground would be somewhat offset by the losses occured due to the "sea level" raising, but I'm no geologist. I'M with ya tho'!

    To the admin. of /. Have you thought of turning the power of /.'s smoking servers into an additional income source? I mean, you could offer to "Load Test" some outfits new servers for a fee and then just post a link on /. announcing something like: free beer and women who love geeks-click here. If their servers could take that, then they could be assured that their servers could stand up to anything short of a direct hit from nukular WMD's!

    180Solutions give you a choice? Forget about it. The only choice you will have to not get the adware will be to not install the game. My past experience with 180Solutions was almost as frustrating as Gator. I don't see them changing ethics that much.

    I agree, the one I got from "citi-bank" looked ALMOST EXACTLY like citi-bank's REAL site, but I knew immediately it was bogus when it "needed me to update my account info" due to the fact that I have NEVER owned a credit card, but I could see where people used their bank online could be caught if they were not paying close attention. On the other hand, I "won" 8 seperate lotteries in UK this morning! LOL

    Don't fret too much, we're just as stupid about our own country too. I used to work around New York City in construction and just before I decided to move back to Oklahoma, I was talking to the electricians on break, mentioning I was going back to Oklahoma. One of the elctricians ( a NY City born & bred one) looked at me like I was crazy and said:" Man, you must be NUTS, Don't they still have Cowboys & Indians out there? F*** That!"

    You are sooo right there. I applaud their efforts on the graphics and realism, but I guess the compaint I have is with a.) game developers that concentrate on "eye candy" at the expense of "gameplay", and app, developers (Ie: have you seen the min req.'s MS propose for Longhorn? whew!) that seem to take the easiest route to added/improved/new features without a thought to optimising code. I have to be taken with a grain of salt on this subject, as I'm not a programmer, my focus has been on the hardware side, so I am slightly(? or more?) biased. Apreciate the info. It's such a pleasure to have an informative conversation! Thanks!

    We understood you meant GHz. IMHO, yes you could be right about that. At least it would help them tremendously to get their dual core out with AMD's, if they don't they will lose a lot of the market "lead" they have now. And I don't think they will be happy if they find themselves having to play catchup with AMD. (I personally think AMD has a slight lead right now, it's really starting to show in the market.)
