Why is no one mentioning coding itself as one of the trifecta???
Though in my case the best way for me to generate code is with a whip, a pastrami sandwich, and Slashdot. And no the whip isn't for me (what, you think I am a penetente or a masochist?) but for use on various minions.
Luckily the primary goal of insurance companies is to make sure we get the best possible medical care, not squeeze every penny out of us that they can like every other for profit business out there.
..places them in stocks and let the public throw books at them.
Well, unless they plan on touring the country so we all get our chance, I propose the next best thing: installing several speaker phones in their cells that automatically pick up when people call, and then giving these numbers out to everyone who they have annoyed so we can call and let these bastards know how we feel.
Another really painful one I witnessed was loosing the only 10 year old tape drive, this side of the ocean, that can read the media to a fire, along with the backed up server.
This is one reason I can't stand tape backup; you can have the best backup scheme in the world, but if your drive is destroyed/stolen, you now have a huge pile of useless tapes until you are able to get a functioning tape drive. And then of course there is the issue of doing restores while trying to continue doing normal backups. Disks that you can plug into any functioning machine (either sata or ide) seem like a much better idea.
I don't think I have ever seen used PC games at a Gamestop; they have only sold new versions since I have been shopping there anyway (since around 2000 or so).
If you plan on getting more than one, try to get all the same model. It is really convenient to not have to hunt for a specific power cord (or even a specific USB cord) if they all use the same cables.
I use one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998021 in a crapbox (and bought a few extra trays). The nice feature this one has is a power switch; I simply leave it off most of the time, but when I want to do a backup I turn it on (BEFORE powering on). This way I don't have to worry about removing the drive all the time (though I should get better about that, and I will once I get a media safe).
It would be awesome if Apple made an ad mentioning that since Microsoft users are so used to random crashes they made it a feature in their new release.
I'm just excited to hear that Microsoft is giving out free copies of their OS so that people who write malware won't have to buy a copy to port their software to the new platform.
Sadly I can't recall if it was Newegg or Mwave that included what looked like a prison shank (boxcutter razor blade taped to a PC empty slot bracket) for FREE in one of my orders! Man was I stoked!
Even better, make the components yourself; ultimately all they are is silicon (beach sand!), metal, and plastic. Hell just recycle the trash you find on the beach when you pickup a few bucketfuls of that sweet silicon goodness and you should be able to make your own kindle for a few pennies!
I think it would be a good idea to send a rocket with a screen and dvd player or something, with a big red button on it that plays it.
Yeah, because if a big thing from another planet lands and I look inside and see a big red button attached to some unknown device, I'm gonna just press that puppy right away:-)
By someone standing on either Earth or the destination planet? Though it just occurred to me, I find it cool that to the photons from my lcd monitors I am traveling towards them at the speed of light.
So if you had a choice between saving a vat of frozen embryos from a fire or a single person of any age, you would pick the embryos? How about if the single person was your child; would you still pick the vat of embryos?
By the way, for all the folks who are against using stem cells to cure disease, feel free to go blind while the rest of us enjoy our vision. As someone who has a genetic predisposition towards getting MD when I get older, I am more than happy to sacrifice a few bundles of cells that were going to be tossed into the trash anyway to keep my vision when I am older.
Coding?

They tried selling 2D Eyetoys but people had a hard time picking them up.

Never underestimate zombie Superman.
After it burns out, let me know how many times you have to strike it before it re-lights.
Buy a cheap external monitor.
Make it a small one and a few rolls of duct tape later you have your laptop back! At least as long as their is a plug nearby....
But it is double the usage of the last column. Take that, Other!
Maybe they need to upgrade their web servers?

Thankfully I didn't find it the hard way.
The one that comes with built in cameras or without?

Gliese 581 d is probably too massive to be made only of rocky material...
Even if it isn't habitable, it might still be large enough to have a habitable moon perhaps?

If you had to use Microsoft products all day you too would have lost your sense of humor long long ago.
The question is: is more accumulating, or is it thicker because ice is sliding in from further inland?
Really unlimited, we have caned it for three years now...
Now I know what my problem is; I haven't beaten my internet connection often enough.
