Well, SEGA has been in bed with MS for quite some time now. The primary OS on the Dreamcast was a WinCE variant, although SEGA's internal teams tended to use SEGA's own OS to reduce resource usage.
Implementing this would rock many people's boats, so if Apple did make this change it'd have some serious domino affect on other keystrokes and applications that use them, but maybe it could be done with the switch to Intel, just to ease the pain slightly.
OK. So we should swap keys around to be more like Windows because of the processor has a different brand name on it? I don't think so.
I can never figure out the usage of the word "zealotry" when used like this. Mac users don't want the Mac to be the only platform out there, we just want to be freaking left alone. It's not an all or nothing thing for us.
Now when someone writes an article talking about how Macs should just suck it up and be like Windows, that almost sounds like Windows zealotry to me.
Turn off SMB browsing in Directory Access and your Mac should stop trying to find WINS servers and such.
Generally, turn off all the discovery protocols you don't need. On most Macs that means just leaving Bonjour or Rendezvous on these days and maybe AppleTalk for old printers. Typically you can turn off SLP, SMB/CIFS, and AppleTalk.
They took the capability out of later Gamecube models because supposedly there was a lack of interest, but by that time it was a self-fulfilling prophecy.
They did?
Then why do developers continue to churn out progressive scan games?
If it's just filtering I can deal with it. I do that on my emu now, if anything so that it looks cleaner with the much higher resolution.
But please don't go messing with the games. I love the old games becasue they are old games.
Give me a box that will play four generations of Metroid and Zelda and I'll be good. I wish Rare was still Nintendo aligned for Conker and RC Pro Am. Although I would rather have Bad Fur Day on DS than on Revolution.
RTFA, they were talking about the demo that was a pack-in with the original run of DS units
I even *gasp* have two UMD movies - Kill Bill v1 & v2. I figure when the PS3 comes out I'll be able to watch them on a big screen if I want to.
That's gonna be tough as the PS3 won't have a UMD slot. Universal my ass...
Ah ha! And the Mighty Mouse clearly has a piezo speaker in it!
I did nearly the same thing back in Jr. High. I convinced my parents to let me have the phone line between 7pm-7am on Friday and Saturday night.
It was only one line, so my other Commodore friends had to all call me first to arrange when they could log in. On my 300 baud modem.
Ahh, fun times...
So is this the first mouse that has a speaker built into it for audio feedback?
Anyone?
Yeah, I noticed that the story headline doesn't match TFA content at all...
From the pictures in the article I've seen stuff this good at Disney World.
I don't understand why Sega is so XBox friendly,

No matter what anyone else says is the worst box art ever, Cock'in has the worst art ever. Ever. Ever, ever.
Must go wash my eyes now...
Um... I use a Apple Pro mouse every day, and my fingers still click it just fine...
Whole arm? Really...
Focus follows mouse is there in some apps.
Check this article.

Apple - and the zealotry

But how will I watch video on my iPod Shuffle?
The release notes seem to say it is, but I haven't tested it yet...
* Allows users to log in with Kerberos authentication when using an edu.mit.Kerberos file.

You turn on encrypted swap in the Security prefs. I know of some people doing netboot with encrypted local swap for security.
Hashing is now selective again. If you don't need SMB access for an account it won't make the NTLM hash.
Just use diskutil on 10.3 or Disk Utility in the GUI on 10.4. Josh
Erm, right click > Back seemed to work for me.

Like the XBox, the GC does 640p HD just fine. You simply need to order the composite cable from Nintendo and pop in a progressive scan game.
v.X is pretty shoddy. 2004, while not perfect, is much better.
How about MICROSOFT Windows or RED HAT Linux? How would they do with this? Maybe NOVELL NetWare...
Bubble memory!
I remember seeing some bubble memory when I took a NASA tour while in Huntsville, at Space Camp, in freaking 1986.
I haven't seen any since.
