Why is the later posting of the same quote modded Informative rather than Redundant? I mean I can understand giving the guy a break and not modding him down when he only posted a couple minutes later but shouldn't the earlier informer be given the Informative mod?
If you are seriously this naive when it comes to the new-system lifecycle of consoles, you should probably go read up on a little history before trying to discuss these types of things.
I just asked questions that were important to me. I may have been ignorant, but the only way to solve that is to look for answers. You proved I wasn't naive to think I might hear some answers if I mentioned it on slashdot.
3rd party developers typically have dev kits months before the general public sometimes knows anything about a system.
So they had them before the last E3? That wasn't the impression I got from what I'd read.
The important question is when will game developers get the information and tools they need to start making games. Will it be at the E3 or will that just give the generic stats of the system (processor, memory, etc.)?
Also, how much time will there be from that point to the time the Revolution launches? I'm worried they aren't giving 3rd party developers enough time to make decent games for launch.
Some of those categories are extremely broad. RPG? Strategy? Platform? That can be so many subgenres that fit into those genres and plenty of room for creativity.
That's like saying there's no creativity in books anymore because it pretty much all fits into fiction or nonfiction.
You brought out the important determining factors. The thing that people often misunderstand is that people who are "good" at "being social" are not necessarily extroverts. Often those people who are the life of the party really prefer alone time and are incredibly drained after the party.
On the other hand, many "nerds" who really struggle at small talk still crave opportunities to meet lots of people and on those rare occasions when they are on top of their game they feel energized and love it.
Being a nerd (or a geek for that matter) does not necessarily mean being an introvert.
Right now it says 40% insightful. My guess is that at one point it was mostly rated insightful and by the time you got there the troll and overrated mods took over.
I don't have a PSP and that's why I asked the question in the first place. I still think that at least some of the games will be unique versions that are similar to but different from the arcade versions. The differences will likely be small but still there. YMMV
a.) These aren't the NES versions of the game, they're the arcade version.
Does the PSP have enough buttons to play the arcade version of street fighter? My guess is that some of the games at least will be unique versions that are very similar to but different from the arcade versions.
My guess is that Nintendo will have a default rating system used for countries that either don't have a system or have a system that would be difficult to implement.
You cracked the administrative password to your elementary school's computer? If you were talking middle or high school, that's another story. For me, the v-chip is mostly useful for my 8 year old son. He can flip through the channels on Saturday morning without accidentally coming across something I wouldn't like him watching.
Of course some kids will figure out how to bypass parental controls no matter what they are (some kids will steal their parents credit cards and go on a shopping spree) but that doesn't mean that parental controls should be thrown out the window.
Personally, when I was 10 I wouldn't have tried to get my parents to buy me a rated-M game (if they had the rating system back then). In fact, I'd probably be happy that I could blame my parents and their parental controls if my friend came over with a rated-M game and was unable to play it.
This blocker was probably mostly intended for parents who have children who are like I was. Not those who have kids determined at all costs to do something against their parents wishes.
Because there weren't any fun rated-E games made for the xbox?
Actually, that wasn't meant as a flame or troll. I don't have an xbox but I've heard that kind of stuff about it. I'm asking because I don't know and you said there were obvious reasons it didn't get used. Is this what you were talking about?
I can imagine this being a great way for Nintendo to attract more adult gamers without losing those who think Nintendo systems are great for families.
Researchers found that a better way to prevent mind control came from a different alloy that can be permanently attached to the head. They have devised "tripods" that can "cap" children when they reach a certain age. Researchers believe this will sufficiently prevent any mind control.
You have to be Wise to see the difference.
You can bet they'd complain if they were required to buy a large popcorn and 4 boxes of Good and Plenty to get a ticket.
On the other hand, it might not matter if they can get a much better "refund" by selling the accessories on ebay.

And how many of the consoles sold are replacement consoles for the ones that broke?

Is there anything else they added that they didn't mention because it wouldn't be considered much of an "upgrade"?

Dealers always say they're your friends. ;-) Did you pay for your first experience with drugs?

Yeah, what I don't get is why they aren't rushing Longhorn to market. I'm not getting enough crashes and patches these days!
So what you're saying is...white consoles can't jump?

People will buy extra controllers.
A musical covering 3 episodes? Either it's really long or it only barely covers the highlights.

Uh oh! Where did Sony's $sys$profits go? I can't find any of their $sys$products in my home?
