    Perhaps some type of removable disk similar to the EZ-135 of past. It had an actual hard disk platter inside a case, all of the machinery was resident within a drive. It went head to head with the ZIP drive, but ZIP won out.

    I'm sure that there are plenty of other solutions out there. I use Indigo and can vouch for it, if he has a mac anyways then he wouldn't need a g3, I just chose that specific box because it is the first with USB so it can be used with the USB powerlinc.

    I'd try the fortune 10 company, you could probably do more to benefit society working with the cutting edge tech... it seems backwards, but the tech field defies traditional logic.

    I'm glad to see Apple hardware being used in a large scale, high profile, commercial setting. This is news because the Xserve platform is so new compared to all of the other server offerings.
    If any other company released a product into an already highly developed market and began to have success I would like to know. It points to the company doing something "right".

    My 12" G3 iBook was a great up until four nights ago when it seemed I had the dreaded logic board error, now it's useless... and they want $350 to fix it since it's now out of warranty :'(

    that's kind of dumb, sony has many different divisions. I could understand boycotting sony's music, but why deprive yourself of a PS3?

    That's like deciding never to shop at a certain mall again because the guy at the shoe store was an asshole.

    it seems that the episodes of Leno and Conan are not actually episodes, but collections of segments. I would've really liked to be able to download entire episodes, but at least this is a start.

    I'm not saying anything about needing a static IP address, but the ISPs should have certain IP ranges.
    I know that spoofing is possible, but it would make committing fraud that much harder.

    I tried to get a little more content on the container page, but it seems that the title holds more weight than the keywords, perhaps my frame settings should be different for the container.
    I hope to get a lot of people interested in what I plan to do, I know I'd read about it... I just hope others feel the same.

    I understand where you're coming from, but realistically those situations are a small enough percentage of actual communications that they'll probably just be lost in the wind. It would be kind of scary though if someone where to write an app that specifically scanned for personal information.

    I love seeing stories like this, anything that increases the reach of our communications networks frees knowledge and information that much more.
    Although I am always aware of the privacy concerns raised by new infrastructures I am somewhat of the mind that if you aren't doing anything wrong or anything that you are ashamed of there is no reason to fear others knowing about it. Perhaps one day the world will be open-minded enough not to pass negative judgment on those things that people do during their private time.

    Maybe if an ISP certified all of their users and actually enforced policy we could get all of those IP addresses ok'd.

    Why don't they just set up a system that monitors traffic density? They could pretty easily, and probably pretty cheaply monitor how much metal is on each stretch of roadway, it think that would be much more effective than the amount of cell phone traffic.
    What if there is some really interesting piece of news? Then a huge number of cell phones would be active. Or what if it's raining, then people might tend to stay off of their phones. I really don't see a direct correlation between cell phone usage and traffic.

    That being said, WTF?! World Wide Wing Tour?!

    LOL.... did you actually take a look at the site? The idea sprung up one day and has just grown and grown, I ended up stuck in bed for 3 weeks unable to use the computer, or even stand up for more than two minutes at a time and during that time got to think a lot about things that I wanted to do. One of those things was see the US and the rest of the world, so the wing tour idea came back to the forefront, then I ended up buying the domain and some hosting and trying to make it a reality.
    Most people think that it's a stupid idea at first because they don't want to sit at Hooters, but I'll actually be traveling the world providing my impression of everywhere I go. I'll kind of be a travel blogger.

    I've had worldwidewingtour.com live for about 3 days and I have a good google ranking. Even a search like "hooters wing tour" places me at number 7 on google.

    To be effective don't keystroke loggers written for windows need to use system hooks that should make them all relatively easy to detect? I'm not sure what OSs they will be released for, but I would assume that Windows would be the major target.

    I don't think that the disc costs are that substantial, they probably aren't risking that much by printing them now, but they do have quite a lot to gain. If ubuntu and AOL can give away discs for free I'm sure that they aren't a huge chunk of the per game cost.

    I think that your suspicions are correct. Too bad we can't get everyone to boycott increased song prices, but I'm sure that the market will eventually work all of this out. I suppose that I don't mind paying more for some music, but I'll probably not buy any pop for more than 99, it really just tends to lack substance and replay value.
