The last time we were talking about Tech Startups, people were complaining about Google picking up all the most potential ones. Then what do I see when I post? A Google ad. Of course there was a Google ad the last time we talked about this... but still..
I believe that our Government wants to pullout of the courts, and let them decide on everything at the time it happens. The measures they will have to goto includes being able to get to places they shouldn't be at in the first place.
For instance, you goto a crime scene.. the fastest way in is the dirtiest and hardest way in. They would have to work to get inside the house without furtheringly destroy evidence/tamper it.
So what do they have to do? Put a hole in the cieling, with a deadlock and a vault. They can drop from the sky and get in, without authority, and without any hassle of the people involved from saying "no". This is really much of a redudant annoyance, than a problem itself. Sure people could infiltrate, but at what cost? It would be just as hard to go from the top, as it would from the front door.
For those who say "invasion of privacy", that's what FTP and system logs are for my friends.
Ok, Google and Yahoo! both have Video search.. but does Google have Audio search engine capabilities?
First innovation for Yahoo! since.. a long time ago.. or Google's imitation?
From my "observations," pirateers usually come from Europe and a handful come from Finland. What security measures will allow these citizens from not using it for illegal matters?
They're talking about Lafayette, Lousiana.. not Los Angeles, California.
If it was in CA, many many pirateers would have many many joygasms and lead to partial city wide heartattack increasment of 150%, depending on the population of course.
1B isnt anything compared to the overall amount on repairing and operating the old hubble. Note that the advanced technologies today, are hundreds of times faster and more efficent.

China wants a part of the tech. world. They've gained the respect of being the largest bootleg and spammers in the world, and the censorship will give them some credit to a bright tech china. Or just a Japanese wannabes.
All considered, it's needed.
Oddly enough,.net the domain isn't by Microsoft, it's owned by ICANN..NET the language and code is by Micrsoft. This was supposed to confuse people more... or should've..
I live in a urban port town, on one street intersection, there are 4 pharmacies on each corner. It's ridicoulus to have all 4, especially when they're all really nice, but all have flaws. CVS isn't the best, close to last in my choices, because it doesn't have online pharmacy pick-ups. Walgreens is 1st, because of it's friendly service and online functionality.
Even so, he said the overall space mission was a huge success, and the Europeans in particular were thrilled with the success of their Huygens probe.
Let's let the real scientists do the scoring;)

Well duh. I don't live in Finland, I just see the people of Finland and what some of the people do specifically online.

Waiting for Microsoft themselves, to put out a form of GPL they can use, to their advantage of course.
It's like blowing your load to a flying rocket!
You're mistaken, AT&aT is a baby Ay of the giant AT&T company. AT&aT is being sold.
Have we forgotten a certain person from Jeporady?

If they built one running linux, the others must run what? Windows or Mac? Or just none at all? I know that Windows can be embedded.

He doesn't seem to understand the principle of "Slashdotting."
IBM isnt a new company. They've been around for a very long time. They've been granted hundreds of thousands of patents.
Wow this is pretty major. Unpredictable or overlooked? At any rate I ghope they're ok.
It's just basic mods made by people just like you and me. Still cool to see it on forbes.

Printable Software and Cuttable Hardware?
You'd think people would have grabbed for more backbone before.
They'll patch it before it gets out. "Shipped with new errors from Microsoft!"
