I was thinking the same thing. Allthough I don't live in the U.S. so I wasn't sure if it was normal or not. Here in Sweden, a movie ticket goes for about 95 SEK which is 13.1337 USD (yes, really) with the current rates.
I haven't RTFA, but the way I understand it then it's not causing any vibrations, rather it reads the vibrations that ocurr in the jaw when you talk and translates them into speech.
The way I see it, you're underestimating the power of computers. Remember, in order to drive a car, the controller doesn't have to be smarter than a person.
It just has to be smarter than a 16 year old (15 in some states)
I'm sorry, that confused me a bit. Are you saying that a 16-year-old is not a person?
The reason is probably that you usually sit and watch a tv from a couple of meters away while you usually sit less than half a meter away from your monitor.
Actually, no. That domain is not registered to the Anti-Piracy Bureau. The real address is http://antipiratbyran.com/ and that site has not been defaced.
I seriously doubt that it has anything to do with the Pirate Party since it is completely unrelated, however the operators of TPB has been mocking copyright promoters for years saying that there is no way to get them which has produced a lot of angst and desire to prove them wrong among the copyright promoters and especially The Anti-Piracy Bureau.
It wouldn't surprise me to see their (The Anti-Piracy Bureau's) page being defaced a short time in the future like it was after the raid at the ISP Bahnhof.
Pfft... The ninjas would be to busy flipping out to notice the police raid. And then when they were arrested and the police were all like "Gotcha!" and htey would go like "Nuh uh!" but then they would all go to jail anyway.
I think the general idea is that if the artist is good enough then enough people will come to their concerts and they won't have to have such a high ticket price.
Exactly. The article quotes an advise from the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control, to always wash your hands when you go away from the computer.

http://mininova.org/ is a pretty good tracker.
AFAIK it's been ported to consoles.
AFAIK you can boot copied games already but the people who cracked it don't want to say how because they don't want the technique used by pirates.

No, I had the same thought. :-P
13 dollars? I would gladly pay that amount in tax every year. :-)
Yes, I agree. Allthough I'm not the most fastidious person about graphics, so far I've been very pleased my FX 5200 for almost 3 years now.
Just google for "hentai games". You'll find plenty of hardcore adult games. ;-)
No, there's not a new name change. Versions of Firefox that are not yet officially released are called "Deer Park".
Actually, it's not about humans. You could evolve into pretty much anything.
In Sweden, they sell for 399 SEK which is 50 USD with the current rates.
Because they can't be arsed.
How could anyone suspect the cute fluffy kittens?
IANAL is short for I Am Not A Lawyer.

Nah, I'm guessing it would blow pretty hard.
Is there a world record of duped articles on Slashdot yet?
