i have never heard anyone in my lifetime who considered indonesia a threat, china and japan maybe, but indonesia just doesn't have the military capacity to take on a first world country on their terms...
what rubbish, is this designed to console yourself and your fellow americans that you will lead the world forever?
china and india are: " too big to form networks."? what total rot. china is well networked with it's region including economies such as Australia and New Zealand (to which it has FTA with, oh and by the way we, in Australia, value our FTA with china more than the one with the U.S. the U.S. could never see the big picture and isn't interested in doing anything that falls outside it's own self interests)
india and china are heavily networked, even to members of this glorious "transatlantic civilization" to which you claim the U.S is a leader of. i bet the next 50 years holds a metaphorical bucket-of-ice-water to the face for you.
i bid you good day.
you can already see what a strain an 'ageing population' is putting on our western economies (AUS USA EU etc) the economist in me can't recommend this....
i always found that when you have a person who is extremly susceptible to aggression and/or mimicking what they see in the media/video games, no amount of censorship is the answer.
i disagree,
people are only complacent on issues in Australia because:
A. they don't care
or
B. when big brother goes to far, we'll kick his arse
and i can tell some of the people posting don't actually go outside their little basement, because all the information they have on other countries seems to have been gathered online....
(and as much as i love you americans, you guys really have no idea about the rest of the world, and Australia has little in common with the Australian stories posted on/.)
how on earth will we explain to the uninformed the differen't types of 'free'?
"well its free as in speech, and sometimes beer, but mostly speech.... and not like free as in beer, but it can be if your beer is open source, but mostly it isn't."
wired aren't the same as they used to be anyway, i used to read wired avidly.... but now days they've become.... well i can't place my finger on it, but perhaps 'crap' is the word i was looking for....
damn my bad karma, DAMN IT TO HELL, someone read my comment!! i just took a second look at that picture, and im even more convinced!
*sigh* rejected by my fellow nerds....:'(
the bulk of the comments here on slashdot are against making more star wars, well i guess they are mainstream, and slashdotters are elitest bastards before they are nerds.
Could this be the loophole many have been looking for to get all those wide reaching, stupid patents we all hate and read about, dismissed?
so your saying the CSIRO's patent is wide? and should be nullified because its evil? (i disagree) or are you saying that a non-american getting a broad 'unfair' patent is stimulus for reform?
theyve already gotten "ppl" into space, you incensitive clod.
