God, I'm so sick of these DRM wars. It seems like the sole criterion on which to judge the two schemes is whether its DRM is good or not. Screw this, I'm not going to watch another movie, paid or stolen. They can shove their higher-resolution fascism where it belongs.
I also think that the whole patent system will blow up in their faces. There was a recent case of someone suing a big company and winning (very recently, the details escape me at the moment, sadly). A few more of these cases, and they won't be supporting patents as much as they do now...
Because knowing the specials in San Francisco is more important than expanding coverage in other countries, in many of which you can only find cities (if that).
I don't program in C that much any more, but it would be nice if this was implemented in higher level languages. I don't know if they would gain anything, but it's at least interesting.
It probably just turns off the controller to save battery. The Revolution will probably just be turned on/off by its button. I don't think an On/Off button would be useful since it doesn't play DVDs (or does it? I don't know if they gave it the capability after all).
Not to be trolling, but Eclipse is terribly slow (at least for me). I tried it with a Python syntax autocompletion plugin and it took one second to refresh on an Athlon XP 2800+ (which it did every keystroke). It was a new version of Eclipse, too, 5 I think? The most recently released major one, anyway.
Has anyone else had this problem/is it normal?
Yeah! SERIOUSLY, wtf is up with those buttons? Those damn sadists should have made them move when you move the mouse over them too, for some extra "fun". Or like, not put a border around them and put them randomly in the page text, so we'd have to read the entire thing every time to see the button. Burn in hell, Chair Game!
I have been throwing that chair for ten minutes and no hit! It's random, isn't it! Also, I hate it when I throw it close enough for the guy to SIT on and it tells me NOT EVEN CLOSE! Die, chair game!
Analog media couldn't be restored because the machines that read it broke (couldn't they make new ones?) but as long as the specs exist, I don't see why they won't be able to read the digital data (assuming we still use two bits in the future).
If you're going for corporate security, you're probably going to look at every aspect you need to lock down. Security by default matters for 90% of desktop users, but don't you disable services/add firewalls as soon as you set up your OS?
Indeed, BartPE is saving my ass RIGHT NOW, the desktop is booted in BartPE and salvaging files after a hard disk (a Seagate Barracuda) crashed a week after I bought it (still no idea how that happened, I have NO luck with HDDs). Booting from the CD takes quite a bit of time, and I think booting off my USB 1.1 drive would take much, much more. Does anyone have a USB 2.0 and has tested it on it? How does it compare to the CD/DVD version?
Also, since the USB drive is read/write, it is much easier to run many programs who require to write (although BartPE creates a temporary RAM drive for that reason). Plus, HUGE bonus on being created as drive A:\, as some stupid programs will only back up partition tables, etc on a floppy drive (I can't even find floppies any more).
just shuffle them around. It won't do you any good to look at them, and all your friends will be wondering why the "a" key really types "t"... It does take even geek friends a bit of time to realise that even though you move the key you're not really moving the switch.
You can get extra keys and rearranging your letters in phrases like USETHISANDDIE. Bonus points for doing nice phrases without extra keys.

And by that, I mean that the interpreters of languages (Python, Lua, etc) would use this to implement their threads in.

I use Opera for browsing/newsreader/mail/chat. The mail/chat clients are nothing fancy, but they have more features than I ever needed.

Bah, why must you always bring facts in the conversation?

They are one weird phenomena and it was a joy to see them againespecially since we hadnt seen them yet and were eager to know why.
:P
He can say the same about naked women

Yes, resize it.
Yes, that's true, I've seen pictures of his memory. Looks quite nice :p

Who says that because I use Windows I HAVE to use Office and Photoshop et al? I'm doing just fine with 99% OSS on Windows, thank you.
Right, that was supposed to read "two planets in the same solar system".
If there are two planets capable for sustaining life (well, one is. I don't know about Earth), how many are there in the entire universe?

Then it's a WAR, baby!
I thought of that, but the 2 harddrives I have had for 3 years in it run fine... It is odd...

Nothing... other than to try and rip us off.
No, I was agreeing with you.
