So far, my experience with Vista has been mostly positive. The intergrated search is quite useful and the re working of the explorer shell is a noticeable improvement.
On thing I have noticed is that Vista has re-done the menu layout and prompts and it now closely resembles KDE, imo. Not a complaint or a compliment though I do imagine the layout change is going to confuse a lot of people. I can see why it was re-done though and I imagine once I've gotten used to it I will find it an improvement over XP.
Really I can't say much else as I've only just scratched the surface of what Vista can do. Is it better then XP? So far yes. Is it worth years of delayed devlopment and several hundred dollars? That remains to be seen.
No they teach us that you can never be wrong, merely "uninformed" or that it's "not part of your department".
Truthfully, they do actually teach you how to ensure that your accounts are never wrong in the first year accounting unit I took. A whole lecture was devoted to what they called "Creative Accounting". Covered various nasty tricks to ensure that your books balanced the way management dictated they balance. All legal of course:)
My gf and I are currently playing through Mario 2 after we completed Super Mario Brothers. We can't play any head to head games as we get too competitive and end up not talking to each other.
My mother let someone she met online stay on the couch in our house a couple of years back.
She turned out to be a 20 something French ballet student that was studying a sexology related major...
In other news I have no more luck for the next 20 years.
On a serious note it was a great experience. We've had someone else from England stay over as well recently and that also worked out really well. It's a good way to meet interesting people.
Hell, it took me a couple of weeks after first seeing it for it to click what it was.
On the whole acronyms on slashdot annoy me to high hell since they often assume I'm heavily involved in what ever industry they are refering to, when in fact I just have a interest in them.
I recently had my power adapter die for my Dell lappy. When I emailed them, they rang me back and asked me a couple of questions. The lady that rang spoke perfect English (I think she was Singaporian), was polite and had sound technical knowledge. They then air expressed my replacement from the other side of the country and I had my replacement in two days. All in all, it took about 15 mins of my time, all of which was painless.
On a side note, my laptop was relativly a great deal (I'm in Australia where computer gears seems to cost twice as much compared to elsewhere).
If its anything like this then yes you can but you would get into a lot of trouble.
Just hang on a sec....
Good thing they now have 'till next year to work on it then.
Be interesting to see what real moderation is like.
You know I made this awesome one liner about you been moderated troll and when I previewed the comment you had been moderated Insightful...
Thank fuck I actually previewed for once in my life.
I agree.
Though if I had actually paid for my copy, I wouldn't of been so happy. Sure Vista is good, but the price to feature ratio is sadly lacking.
I've been running Vista Ultimate for 3 days now.

Why else would we use open source software or ignore marijuana laws?
Because Windows costs too much and I can't find a speed dealer I can trust.
Then don't order coffee with your meal.
Or in this case, don't play your game online. If you don't want to play online, no one is forcing you to.
In my experiences with tipping, this simple equation has become quite handy:
Tip = the change you can't be arsed finding space for in your wallet
*doesn't come from a tipping country as well, but has "tipped" overseas*
All I can say is Amen.
Once a week a group of friends and I get together to watch the latest downloaded episodes of Heroes and Torchwood.
I would say I socialise more with other people while watching shows now that I download them.
Slashdot is mentioning it.
:)
Every second comment, no matter what the fucking article, is about the Wii.
"After we have dimmed the sun to set back global warming, we can play Mario on our Wii!"
Saying that, I've got a Wii on pre-order

It's possible that they never had the ability as environmental influences didn't lead to regeneration being a evolutionary edge.
:)
Lizards on the other hand probably had a different evolutionary environment where regeneration lead to an increase in survival.
Then again, I'm a business student so chances are I'm wrong
New KFC Neverending bucket of chicken!
For when just one heart bypass won't do.
*mmmmm neverending chicken wings*
Second that.

How do we know this isn't a red herring by some terroist group?
*ducks and runs*
Does a set up like that give you any signal loss/signal lag?
I would say that have run out of feet and are busily working through their kneecaps.
Who's the terrorist now?
The people using terror to reach an ideological goal? Not the greedy companies draining stones of blood.
Your not the only one.

Did anyone else notice the subliminal msging strewn throughout the film? Nice flashes of text telling me to "enjoy"....
It's supposed to be a light show not a pyrotechnics display.
