    upgrading from Windows 2k to Windows XP, doesn't offer much

    Obviously, you're never had to use Win 2K. I had the privilege...err I mean the dreadful-nightmare-crashes-every-30-min experience of use Win 2K. The upgrade is worth it from a users point of view.

    Cellphone towers point down. They are not meant work in plains.

    A friend of mine was piloting a small plain around Alabama and lost total power in the plain. Fortunately he had a cell phone and was able to maneuver close enough to the ground to pick up a signal. He was only able to speak in small intervals because the signal kept going in and out.

    Point: I don't think cellphone towers will work for "big" plains.

    Agreed. I tend to use 5.x at work where I've got a nice machine that an handle the extra load. At home, I stick with the 2.x (forgot actual version)

    What do you use now instead of Winamp for your MP3s?

    Hooray! I never much liked iTunes. It appears people are having trouble understanding that you're not simply copying music to an external harddrive. (i.e. the iPod) You have to get that music to show up in a playlist within the iPod. That is why we need iTunes. Sort of like middleware for the iPod.

    As a sworn user of Winamp since back during the 1.x, I'll defiantly d/l a copy.

    I just installed the web accelerator and noticed that as I was doing nothing my router was going crazy. So I simply shut down the accelerator and the trafic stopped.

    If I'm not active, why is the web accelerator send information?

    Why would someone have a problem with eBay? Every problem I've ever had or heard of was from either from the buyer doing something wrong/unfair or the seller doing the same.

    Why do we need to contact eBay? Just host the autions and monitor the users.

    Amazon.com was not the only store (online or offline) to have an iPod shortage. As of Dec. 17th MacMall was sold out and wasn't expecting some in until after Jan. 6th. But they offered free engraving on the back. Almost offset the delay.

    Example: I want to email the all the supervisors, but do not want to type all their email addresses. Can I create a "supervisors" contact group that includes all their addresses?

    I'm a sworn believer of Firefox. (even giving it as Christmas presents this year) But won't all this ad/pop-up blocking bring advertisers to use new methods of advertising?
