    I participated in the contest myself, and I have to say the problems were very difficult for everyone at our contest site. Best team here got 2 out of the 8 questions solved. I'd be willing to bet the winning teams had graduate students, where a lot of teams can have sophmores or juniors and won't fare as well. Regions often have different questions as well because they compete at different times during the year. Kudos to the top teams, not an easy feat, many factors go into deciding who is the best.

    Printing out the notes ahead of time is the best thing a teacher can do. I have some classes that require a lot of notes, and some that they teacher hands us printed notes. Let me tell you, in the class I have to write notes, I spend most of the time trying to keep up with notes rather than paying attention to what is going on. In the classes that I have the notes ahead of time, I can actually understand what the teacher is saying.

    That depends what the monitors are, having a CRT at 60 and an LCD at 60 causes far more distress than if the CRT was bumped up to 75 or 85...

    You couldn't be more wrong, DEP works with intel as well
    If you would look at microsoft's kb http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352, you would see that AMD supports it in the form of the NX bit and Intel uses the XD bit

    Yup and I bet you want another terrorist attack like 9/11. They had all the facts about when the attack was going to happen, but it was to spread out amongst the agencies. Perhaps you should read the 9/11 comission reports and watch a few decent documentaries before making irresponsible comments like that.

    Actually Consumer Reports is written by experts, NOT consumers. It is written for consumers. Their magazines contain no advertisements whatsoever and they do not accept money from any companies, so they have unbiased reviews.

    I worked at target a while ago, they have probably the most advanced security systems of any store around. Target stores is busy areas upwards of 2 people each day. Target stores often let city police units use their equipment and facilities to analyze crimes, so the cost is distributed around.

    If people are playing music CDs on government computers that are used for top secret work, you've got problems

    I am most disturbed that the DOD even allows these practices
