I totally agree with what you are saying. When students are caught taking drug, the president of the university has to come and apologize in front of the press; when a guy committed in mass killing, his parents has to deal with this also.

So please, software developers, check your software works without admin priviledges!

So just like Windows Firewall it just makes somehow default to the system and making the giant monster even bigger? Very good, people are finding their computer runs slower and buy a brand new computer with Vista preinstalled...

In Gentoo it is already in the official portage (and marked stable), so that you won't need a third party overlay.

When will google make a customized version of IE7 to run on Linux (with wine or whatever)?

Just for information. IE7 is now named "Windows Internet Explorer" instead of "Microsoft Internet Explorer"
