as far as I know from the article about it a month ago was that the nintendo consoles weer always significantly less than the competition. So, in pulling numbers straight from my ass I bet it would be ballparked around.9 to 1.9W.
I mean, considering how their system has significantly less powerful parts than the competition, it couldn't possibly drain as much as the competition (well atleast at full power) especially since there isn't an internal hdd to spin, that's probably about 60% of the power used by a whole system. It could be a whole other ball game though for standby leakage.
on another note, too many comments and you look like William Shatner, too few and you look like a 12 year old. I for one would rather look like the Shat!
yeah I know what you mean, team sports are the worst for greifing:P I remember the first time I played nose tackle on football team and got triple teamed by 3 O-Linemen cause they wanted to QB sneak. . . To this day I still can't feel some parts of my left leg.
alright, I'll bite.
being against abortion rights makes you more open minded to less freedom. therefore, you are closed minded. Though, do not make the mistake that you are closed minded because you have the opposite opinion. It is because your opinion is less open.
don't you realize that the high performance wars fuel the low performance price drop?
I mean, I don't call myself an expert or anything like that, but I think one of the sole purposes of pushing a high performance part onto the market is to move med/low performance parts into consumer's PCs.
I mean, most of their revenue comes from selling consumer parts, not high performance ones.
interesting. . .
I too am a fan of the less than well received CC game and would like to see it continue on. We can only hope square shares the same sentiment.
You can't sit there and tell me there's no story in Street Fighter (maybe initially, but by the alpha series there was a shitload of backstory)
and to be honest I did enjoy most of those games (don't try and tell me that STUN Runner or SFRUSH are good games though)
I though impulsively that they'll make FPS games with no story, and no that we've seen close to a bajillion FPS games, the only thing now that can really make one better than another is story. Story and Gameplay. and if someone like Jaffe could make a game chock full of gameplay w/o the story, don't you think it would have been done already?
Also fun never had anything to do with what I said earlier. I had a shitload of fun playing GTA2, but did I ever finish that? hell no.
GTA3 and Vice City though, had me hooked enough on the story to actually want to finish them. same with HL 1 and 2. Not the same with Doom3. ..
And one more thing I wanted to bring up is that, all those games are old school. Try and find a good storyless game like those in the past 5 years? Did you? I didn't think so.
Old school games are fun because that's all they are, old school games. They were often hard or challenging, which kept you saying "Just one more level" or "I just need to hold on to the spreader until the boss." Now however, videogames are just as much digital expression of either technological advancement or creative expression as they are games now.
that is actually true, the entire series apparently spawned from one of the author's theatrical performance of his D&D character one night.
Personally I found the main arc of the series to be really good (the Dragons of * books, didn't really care for any of the others.) I think I may have enjoyed it only for the characters. As far as game related books, I do believe the Battletech book series was spawned by the table top RPG, and I find for the most part they were excellent.
I think the one thing that makes a successful fantasy/sci-fi book is the authors. I know that Micheal A Stackpole authored many of the Star Wars novels, as well as most of the battletech books I enjoyed.
now onto another topic, wasn't there already a Dragonlance cartoon in the 80's, and didn't it suck hard (removed violence to make it a kids show or something)? Hopefully this will be more oriented towards a mature audience.
With that said, even if it were to simply copy the finer points of BF2 infantry stuff, but into an engine without all the bugs holes and crashes, I'd still be a happy camper. Especially if it were to cost about the same as the regular price point of addon packs.
Agreed, though I do have to say sometimes attempting rational discussion with a conspiracy theorist is just entertaining. Especially if they show you their stylish tinfoil hat.
On another note, for some reason your post reminded me of the exceptionally well written dialogs from the Deus Ex series of games. Bravo.
I thought you just had to log out to run AC.
you mean they'll get suburn at the beach?
Imagine it being FF7 without all the x button wailing. . . and not having to switch discs ever, since it would only be a quarter of the size.

I think the idea is that you have to fill out form 54B anyway, so why not get a little something for playtime?
I know, the idea is fricken dumb.
blasphemy! I've always wanted a female invisible naked assassin robot to be a reality!

that's right they voted for a president, but the polling machine got confused and thought the string "J.Kerry" was actually "G.Bush".
wtf how is this trolling? I can't believe a WoW fanboy actually left the game long enough to mod this down!
I want one of 3PO telling me what the odds of me poking my eye out when trying to open a can of beans.

HA! HA ha haHA!
America doesn't "care about them", you care about that oil because you care about having power over them.

dear god how do you get to the roast when the lid of the pressure cooker on? (Trying to say it without being lewd, since im at work and all)
leave it to slashdot to find a starwars reference in everything.
hear the whooshing sound over your head? that's flight joke131 flying overhead. wave bye bye, cause you'll never see it again.

Good luck. I normally lose interest and never finish games if they have no story.
Sounds cool, but I hope they don't come crying to me when one of them gets headcrabbed in the game and gets zombie'd IRL.
In his living room along with the Wii? (it's a strange concept, I know)

that works out fine until someone asks them what city they're from. . .
"erm, Upper Canada city. yeah that's it."
