I mean, I'd be just a little less bad (WGA) if it worked properly. I've seen most of my old HS's comps get the "not genuine" notice, and it takes a while to fix.
Exactly what I thought when I saw this. I think it might be better to have something like hybrid RAM if its just for doing hibernation, that way when you upgrade it still works. Hell, you can even save the whole state of your RAM from time to time if you want, to help recover from crashes.
It sounds like this would be very good though (as long as the size is enough to hibernate) so that when battery runs realy low the system has no chance of failing before the hibernation save is complete.

Say he's using the laptop to coordinate a terrorist attack, that should get you a search warrent. You probably won't get the laptop back, but said theif will likely dissapear and never be heard from again.

It realy must be that it works better on ATI then, because I have an FX 5200 with... 128 or 256MB, not quite sure. I don't know what else it could be...
Lionhead (the makers of Black and White) still do this...
B&W 2 runs on 512 megs? my ass! I have 1 gig and it would still occasionally stop to page out for 5-10 seconds. Video card reqiremets were exceeded as well and I could just barely run it 800x600 with all details run at lowest/off (game is pretty much unplayable at 640x480 because status windows take up the whole screen)
The school I went to blocked certain sites via "custom block" on websense etc...
Someone I knew found out the admin password by watching him type it because he lost the password to his account. He used it to change the school's homepage to a websense looking page saying category block "school/education" because at his school, the blocks were VERY restrictive and blocked legit sites. IMO best prank ever (and he got 3 days of detention for it:p).
Plastics have a way of absorbing traces of smells and tastes... try filling a water bottle you use a lot with water then mixing it with iced tea mix or something, and you'll be tasting it for a while
Nothing changed from the time I put the ads in to when the time was coming, except some members left and new ones joined meaning the member bio section was changed (just info on char class/level) I never let the adbot read anything other than the public section of the forum because I knew it would be pretty easy to spoof user-agent for others to get access.
At first this (the way to script someone to get banned) was used to get the guild forum I hosted banned from AdSense - considering there were a few former members who wouldn't think twice about screwing us over if they could, and likely someone they knew was technically compitant (or they were sufficiently motivated to do it manually). That was until I heard of other people getting banned (I posted earlier in this topic: http://ask.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=184964&cid =15267708)

I forget where I saw this, but I think that at least for myspace police have a different site front end, and can see *everything* that is uploaded.
Yes I know I said police and not security, but you get the idea.
it probably didn't when he downloaded it, or if it did, it was the easy-bypass one that didn't also install and app to constantly check
but "typical work" does not require 2 huge HDDs and optical drives. I'm guessing that if you actually use those its a lot lower

The old CSS only had a problem on IE and I haven't tried IE enough on this layout to comment on how it handles.
The only problem I've had is that the story got bumped down about half a page length once, but didn't cause overlapping.
reading?? firefox's repagination is still loading the pages...
/. have been increasing in page numbers...
but realy, this is re-freaking-tarded. Last 3 posts of tomshardware on
reminds me of that message painted on a bomber once...

And if you didn't install this software you'd be at the same place.

"featureful" does not necessarily mean "supports more formats"

I'm not familair with video cards that much right now...
Wait... I have a Nvidia, and I seem to remember seeing ATI logos on B&W, maybe it works better, and maybe you have more texture memory
What OS are you booting on that laptop?

Not if it means you can only play while you're still subscribed. But I highly doubt that nintendo will do this.

"As we all know "terrorism" is the root password to the Constitution."
Not always. The password occasionally changes to "child porn"

umm, actually that gets inhibited by alcohol...

Well a site I ran to host a guild forum got it canceled just as I was reaching my first $100 and the same happened to the guy who writes this funny blog I read (just as he was reaching his first $100 as well): http://bannable-offenses.blogspot.com/ (post about it: http://bannable-offenses.blogspot.com/2006/04/seri ous-note.html)
Well I guess they do plan ahead... seeing as how you cannot block anything from microsoft in the hosts file as its hardcoded
he must have liked when CDs came out then
