Customs checking can (theoreticly) be improved to catch everything, but letting people by completely unchecked can't. My point is that these laws realy have nothing to do with terrorists...
Interesting idea. Next time I want someone to turn their music down I wont threaten to call the cops, I'll say that I'll get the RIAA for making a "public performace"
Some movies can open web pages. The movie probably used a meathod similar to how spam senders use a 1x1 image to know the e-mail got to a valad address
I fear it may be starting... that is, the fear of speaking out. Considering what you said about anyone being able to be declared an enemy combatant, the people who actually know enough probably are not willing to risk shouting it everywhere for fear of this.
And OT, but I've been hearing so much about this damn illegal immigrant thing its pissing me off. If the US wants to stop terrorism the first thing they should make sure doesn't happen is people getting into this country without being checked. Whats to stop terrorists from running accross the Mexico border?
I highly doubt they would split chip types like that. IIRC the 2 and 4 GB chips are slightly different in some respects... I heard someone ask about adding another 4GB chip to the open area on one of the boards once, dunno what came of that but I think the consensus was that it shouldn't work.
On a serious note though, stopping cell division WILL cause a painful death, and you do not need to be a biotechnologist to know that. Just check out how much skin is constantly being lost every day. Red blood cells also only last ~3 months.
also, common sense would have it that she would not have gone out and bought all this music that would have left her with not enough money to pay for college... so its not realy a lost sale then...
and god damn, I've just watched part of Fahrenheit 911, and this (American paranoia in the media) is exactly what he's talking about. Why does the media need to give us 356233 things to be afraid about every night? I've listened to whats up for "news" tonight and damn.
If you are referring to the one posted on Slashdot earlier, that was a joke article. For some reason it didn't get the foot (at original post time), but the article was clearly being sarcastic.
I'm just gonna grab a good paragraph here from the article...
GameSetWatch co-editor Brandon Sheffield suggests that a potential dangerous chatroom lurer could post an ad on CraigsList asking children to email him or her to exchange Animal Crossing friends codes. Once the friends code exchange is made, the child can visit the stranger's town and chat, awkwardly, one slow and character-limited line at a time. By the time the child has picked all of the stranger's fruit, bought out the shop, trampled a few flowers and left, the stranger might, in theory, be able to say "what are you weari-"
I hate things like that... This heater I have just suddenly stopped working, and I wanted to open it up and check it out, but the star head screws had a pin in the middle of them preventing that.
I'd say its a combination of "programmed obsolescence" and lawsuits about people hurting themselves opening these things up (because its not enough to slap a huge warning sticker there, they have to activly make sure you have to go through extra measures to open the thing up)
And don't forget, for those who are scaired of radiation, on average more radioactive material is coming out of a coal power plant than a nuclear power plant (that is, uncontained material, out of the exhaust)

I don't know about all schools, but mine tends to just throw them away... don't know why. The company my father works for does the same thing with lab equipment (not necissarily that old, and most still functional).
The ones the school throws away are generally very old machines that after being good machines got swapped out of labs and into teacher's rooms where they are hardly used (and are barely usable due to the software they try to cram on them). The electronics teacher tends to try to salvage them either for parts or for an old machine he won't mind frying if a student built interface blows up.

Problem is, now everyone is loosing something they love: their freedom and their privacy
The ones I'm familiar with are Gaycube and X-brick, nothing for PS
Remember Microsoft Bypasses HOSTS File? Sounds like unblockable ads, at least via the hosts file.... adblock should still work fine.

Didn't the other not-so-constant constant have something to do with light? If so the light from the quasar be affected by this?
The police will use ROFLcopters from now on to catch people trying to escape using this method.
You studied a biotechnologist?

One would hope thats just so they would not do what the GP said, because I for one do not want to get used hardware when I buy it new...
no no no... you have it all wrong, mario is a communist
Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, like when you get your first grammar nazi :P
Why does linking to Wikipedia make you feel ill ?
Scary thing is, only one of those is a redlink...
