The Ergo 4000 keyboard is the best thing to happen to my wrists in a long, long time. Now if I could just get a vertical mouse that doesn't look retarded...
I just switched back from Kubuntu (7.10) to Ubuntu after getting sick of all the bugs - Dolphin wouldn't save bookmarks even after I fixed up the permissions on the bookmarks file, k3b kept crashing every time I tried to burn a data-DVD, the settings manager crashed several times whilst I was just browsing through settings, there was the Kopete issue where it crashed every time it tried to connect to MSN, the list goes on.
Now, some of these issues got fixed, and I did contribute logs/backtraces to the bug reports already filed for others, and this being my first time with KDE I *do* actually like using it - It's pretty and configurable, and the Monochrome icon theme totally does it for me. I just wish it was more stable.
Is there a KDE-centric distro that has a bit more polish, or should I wait until there's a Kubuntu release with KDE 4.1 or whatever? I haven't looked at XFCE or any of the others yet, but I'm not exactly a power user and GNOME is winning plenty of Just Works points right now.
This is a gateway to getting fucked on all holes! "Uh... This goes in your mouth. This one goes in your ear. And this one goes in your butt. (Joe puts wires in, machine beeps) Shit. Hang on a second. This one... Uh... This one... this one goes in your mouth..."
Repository with a bunch of great (and not-so-great) Flash games, with the added advantage of not being blocked by my work proxy like all the other gaming sites. I highly recommend Bowmaster Prelude, and Tactical Assassin is fun, if short. Enjoy!
Done it, and done it better. Saul Williams had an explicitly free (as opposed to pay how much you want to) 192kb download, or $5 for the user's choice of 192, 320, or FLAC.
I got the FLAC version, and I reckon it was worth the cost of download for the title track alone. His cover of U2's Sunday, Bloody Sunday is also brilliant.
just want to search random words and follow wiki links when you're bored.
Also referred to as wikidiving. My favourite method is picking two unrelated topics of interest and trying to get from one to the other via internal links, reading every article along the way. It as good a method as any for acquiring a well-rounded education.

Sorry, that's a violation of Apple's Cover Flow patent. Please stop turning pages immediately.
A few feet from your face, there is a Slashdot article about a round thing. Are you getting sprung?
You must be new here.
I love how they say "It's not clear..." immediately before making it crystal-clear.

Already done, to a degree - OK Go got a massive amount of free/viral publicity thanks to Youtube and their video for Here It Goes Again.
Watch out for DRM restrictions, you could get sued every time you swap fluids with someone.
Next project:
- Build an adjustable motorized ramp, so your robot can go uphill both ways.
- Find some snow.
From the sounds of it a lot of you would be better off with that.

If you have a bulletproof vest, but the bullets start ignoring it for the sake of making holes in you, it ain't bulletproof.
No it's still correct, in that they have been mounted with guns. It's the same syntax as, say, ginseng-infused underwear.
Can we have a mod for +6 You Just Took A Part Of My Childhood And Made It Awesome?
It's time. The days of zombie PCs are numbered. The future is...
Zombie robot pirates!
Do you realise just how much more awesome the world is about to become?
Thanks! I'm not 100% sure, but that may actually be the first time I've ever memed on /. Glad it wasn't too obvious =)
If I was a student in this professor's class, and decided one day to demolish his car because it was blocking my view of the whiteboard...
Fixed your analogy for you =)
Can you legally order someone to take downers?
Does this mean we can get Apple-flavoured squirts?
