I guess a more accurate question would be, how high a stack of PS3s running in parallel would you need to equal this thing's processing power? I so can't be bothered...
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that it's a hell of a lot easier to get diesel cars running on biofuels. Seems like a worthwhile bit of futureproofing given the way the oil trade appears to be heading.
For anyone who's wondering, go here. It'll change your life. No, really.
So as not to be completely offtopic, I will say this: American mobile phone providers are *evil* - between patchy coverage, ridiculous fees, vendor lock-in, and horrible customer service, it's almost not worth the bother. The iPhone drama, as much as it's riding the "cool tech" bandwagon to make it into the news, seems to be just the tip of the iceberg.
I've been with Vodafone Australia for a few years now, and I love them. $80/mo for up to $550 worth of voice/text/data? Check. Unlocking branded handsets? All you need to do is fill in a freaking web form. Charges for receiving calls? Hell no! Customer service? Awesome, never had a problem. Number portability? I've had the same one for 8 years with 3 different carriers, doesn't matter where I am in the country.
That, combined with better national coverage in a country with more land area than the lower 48 and less than a tenth of the population. Plus we're close enough to Asia that if we want new tech that isn't sold here, half the time we don't even get charged for shipping =)
I'm going to go with the generalisation that putting innocent bystanders at risk without their consent makes you an asshole.
That said, I've gone through the last 2 or 3 years worth of worldwide base jumper fatalities at http://www.splatula.com/bfl/ and US skydiver fatalities at http://www.dropzone.com/fatalities/ and whilst there are some unfortunate encounters with vehicles, aeroplanes, power lines, buildings etc. I can't find a single instance of a collision causing the death of anyone but a fellow airborne jumper/diver.
Compare that to over 40 000 road deaths in the US in 2006 alone (pulled from here). I know those numbers can't be compared directly, but if it's a choice between next to the Space Needle and next to a highway, I know where I'd feel safer standing.
Klipper completely obliterates this problem. It's native to KDE (and installed by default in Kubuntu) but apparently will run happily in GNOME, or you can check out Glipper. Problem solved.
My trolldar is beeping but just in case you're serious, you'd be better off at the official download page, where everything is spelled out in plain English.
Don't mistake haemorrhoids for testicles. He might be a dick, but he's definitely an asshole.
If you want to do something gutsy, go skyjumping, base jumping, downhill mountain-biking. Something that doesn't run the risk of injuring or killing innocent bystanders who want nothing to do with you.

Actually, the patch doesn't penetrate deep enough to draw blood, so using patches like this as a substitute for syringes could be a massive boon to the harm minimisation effort.
My father worked for ICL in South Africa when they got an additional 8MB of RAM for their mainframe server. It was the size of a small garage, and he was responsible for debugging it, which at that point still meant climbing inside and flicking cockroaches off the solenoids.

The last thing that goes through your mind will be "I've reached the end!" ...followed shortly thereafter by the headrest.
"Get off my lawn before I cockslap you! Yeah that's right, I can reach you from here!"

Dark, from South America, less than $5 each.
Linux is already pure ;)
Mine is "I think so Brain, but then I'd be called Thumby."
Rizla, much more danceable.
+1 Insightful. I thought I was going to hit the second page before I found anyone suggesting legitimate use of the carpool lane as an option...
Oh man, if only stuff that got squirted at you in frat houses cleared up after 3 plays instead of 6 weeks of antibiotics.
//whereis -s mycow.exe
No good, public domain already. At some point, however, they'd generate an infinitely robust DRM encryption scheme, then you'd profit...
May as well throw "paradigm" in somewhere for good measure.
Aerosolized MDMA, the ultimate crowd pacifier =)
Nah, he's just too hardcore/oldskool to waste brainspace on a username and password.
Your sig fits your comment somewhat squickily...

When will they learn, it's the width of the explosion that counts.

The power of boogie, is there anything it can't do?
