    i find this scary there was a horrifying bugs in old computers that could be used remotely to purposes increase the CPU clock rate to rediculous levels resulting in serious damage.

    originally google toolbar had a built option to enable folding@home

    despite constant release of new tools they don't lose anything for trying it
    however they all add to the wider variety that make webportals a lot of money and entice them.
    just sticking with www.google.com search ads is suicide

    they do what ever is necessary to be noticed

    Some Lawyers are just sharks they like Media Attention
    The drag out a case as long as possible
    dragging it as high as they can
    to become a public specticle
    and their name widely known.



    Note: if one lawyer stays on one case for years they get paid the whole time
    There is no motive to rush it

    unlike changing to another client no more initial research is needed in their current case "most is already done" "less wordload"

    why wasnt the Firewall on by default in the first place
    i never needed a firewall on Windows 98 or 2000 for that matter
    why did a firewall become such a necessity on XP?

    a firewall is a bandaid solution to a deep seeded problem issue.
    it is not absolute progess.

    the Intel 80386 Microprocessor in the early 80's then the 486.
    As intel could make the CPU fast enough for the Demand and outsource to AMD to manufacture them.

    AMD started selling the exactly identical chip as Intel
    (they had the blueprints afterall and were by authorised by Intel to produce them. :)

    Suddenly there was Intel 486 Processor
    versus AMD 486 processor
    same processor but AMD was undercutting Intel on price.

    Enter Pentium haha AMD you cant copy our name any more since it is
    Trademarked

    I heard the phrase Out-of-the-box thrown around alot by the Microsoft executives in the articles.
    did anyone else notice that?

    bang suddenly crammed in between the regular ocurrence of the phrase

    theres mention of Microsoft superior hardware support

    Yes there are more drivers FOR windows
    ironic since they dont work Out-Of-The-Box
    they are 3rd party additions
    Batteries Not Included


    My legacy Athlon board, onboard sound, My bt878 TV tuner, dont install out of the box My ATI and Nvidia video Cards (256 or less colours) and IDE is barely functional.


    And even my new hardware needs 3rd partyy drivers,
    Audigy 2 ZS and bt878 TV tuner onboard sound and Network
    dont even work in even the latest Windows 2005 MCE
    What kind of media centre doesnt support media devices well?


    All of the above hardware worked in Mandrake 10 out-of-box with full performance without the need for extra drivers or fiddling

    However my HDTV tuner didnt work in Mandriva out of the box,
    but didnt work in Windows out of the box either

    VHS players are analogue devices
    they project images off the magnetic strip.
    they ouput to analogue RCA composite or coaxial cables.

    DVD player is digital to analogue convertor

    Stand alone DVD recorders
    are in the croshair
    they take input from analogue device such as a VCR or even the output of a DVD player

    if this passes
    1 it will be difficult for me to find a device that allows convertion a 8mm format films or VHS family video recordings to a digitised format.


    MPAA the world isnt so addicted to you that your movies are the only use for these products.

    analogue is a long supersceded product
    analogue tranmission is to be eliminated from australia by 2008

    Digital transmission is what they should be protecting
    recording digital transmission to a digital format should be enforced


    all this stupid regulation is going to do is make history useless
    how is anyone supposed to convert VHS tapes to Digital in 2-5years?
    my family VHS recordings are not going to cause a lost sale in to the movie industry

    30 years from now Video Cassette is found of historical significance
    what i do with this what is it?
    can't convert it since the blanket ban assumes all copying is illegal
    not many people would own a VHS player
    nothing left to do but leave it rot in its current plastic casing


    do any of you think you'll still have a record player in the next 10years?

    stopping something of historical significance from being reproduced in an appropriate format is
    immoral and unethical

    my family video recordings are as far as i'm considered are of historical significance.

    Since AOL has one of the largest and well known Instant Messaging
    Networks

    and Google

    is NOT an ISP

    Google will benefit greatly for one it will block Miscrosoft from forcing AOL to stop using google search and replacing it with MSN search (i use search loosely).

    and google is fighting to create a broad reliable and highly accessible IM client. AIM is fitting into their plans.

    Google Software will probably be preferred over the AOL messenger
    since i find google software reliable.

    However i never thought AOL software as bad, just not very flexible.

    it can only do one thing from a to b

    no ifs, buts or customing (Just simple)

    the DVD-9 (9GB of storage is insufficient for a HD game.)

    it cant store enough data to keep the promise of High Definition gaming experience

    Some current generation Xbox games use DVDs to thier full potential.

    how do they expect to fit images, movies, models twice the resolution of

    current console on a Dual Layer DVD

    I dont know about you but i loved the graphics on Nintendo 64 they were awesome

      but Mario Cart had 4 levels.

    goldenEye was extremely short also

    they just fit any more on the damn catridge

    which really pissed me off

    so i bought a Playstation

    Since XBOX games currently use a large amount of the capacity of the standard DVD for standaard resolution games,

    I cant but feel XBOX 360 with with DVD will be a resurrection of Nintendo 64

    Extremely visually amazing yet 160MB was pathetic storage for the resolution of
    games.
    PS1 had inferior graphics but had 650MB to satisfy full potential graphics yet
    still make a big game (levels, characters, movies).

    have you noticed Hotmail is utterly incompatible with Firefox

    Originally it worked fine in firefox 0.8 all of a sudden 0.9 and 1.0 beecame popular.

    Suddenly middle clicking Hotmail links fail to open at all or in tabs.

    you must left or right click all links.

    Now it even worse i can no longer even click links in my email at all with firefox.

    What is Wrong wit you
    That is what open SOurce projects do
    they are a way to increase your portfolio
    like Artists donate time to creating cummunity art
    in hoping someone will scout them

    Its a foot in the door into a difficult industry
    Besides Scott is still contributing to open source, google VOIP protocol is to be open source and Scotts job is to make sure GAIM (a multiplatforn IM software) supports it fully.

    Some leading firefox developers were snapped up by Google to help develop Firefox COmpatible tools (Google Desktop, Toolbar etc)

    I see google snapping up head Linux developers (KDE or Gnome) to develop a compatible Google Desktop for Linux.
    Will those people be selling out too?

    Linux is in Dire need of a desktop search environment like Windows and Mac spotlight

    MS whats the public to believe that MS knows how the internet should be
    and yahoo is many peoples favourite Entertainment hub
    Games, music, search, IM, email and streaming media.
    Yahoo has what people want from the internet.

    Gun laws are federal laws that govern all our states and territories,
    handguns with rounds upto 36mm may have a barrel no shorter that 120mm
    handguns with rounds upto 50mm must have a barrel length no shorter than 150mm
    no guns are permitted more than 10 rounds to the magazine
    No handguns with rounds over 50mm.
    i'm not 100% certain but i doubt any assualt rifle semi auto or not is permitted
    including AK-47

    i also have to question the cost to symantec to maintain Anti Virus software,
    constant reverse engineering and documentation of viruses, tracing causes and
    released updates is expected weekly.

    That much cost a lot in man hours,

    It is debatable if the system tools they produce make more net profit than AV.
    The Symantec Drefrag Engine has been used to power Microsoft Defrag ever SInce windows 98.
    Veritas (Symantech Purchased) Powers the Diskmanagement tool provided With Windows XP



    End note i dont trust MS entry into AV market
    Not that they will do it
    but it makes be a bit edgy that they could purposely make securty flaws in
    windows to ensure people use their AV as they know the cause before anyone else.
    They want to give false peace of mind in MS solutions.

    As far as i'm concerned you downloading the first episodes isnt what concerns HBO, the 6th episode does
    you admitted watching it on TV yet still downloaded it to make a collection
    which in turn equals


    Less veiwers at rerun time
    and
    less potential DVD sales revenue.
