Neat idea, but I'd like something that tracks public transportation vehicles. Accessible via a WAP browser, it would be a great thing to have while waiting at a bus stop at 3am wondering WHERE the frigg the bus is!
I pay for everything with my VISA, i'm sure they would be able to take the ID number from the loyalty card and match it with my credit card. (All my loyalty cards have a unique ID and are scanned in at the time of the purchase).
I'm thinking it was the wife who came forward and took responsibility for this crime. She probably had access to the Safeway Club Card, and most likely would not want to see her husband wrongfully convicted. I find it kind of sketchy that the prosecutor would not say who it is!
"They could probably use more mirrors for the 22MB movie."
The best mirror would be a torrent. Anyone have one yet? I'm sure this is going to get/.'ed real quick. At least the site has a sense of humor about it...

Patience, honey.
The next download slot will be free

And the countdown seems to repeat over and over again:/
Yes well YOU know exactly where to go to find the Spyware free program, while other less "computer informed" (if you like that better than savvy) will go to the first site they find to download "that program that lets me download Britney Spears albums".
Even if you know about the lite version of this p2p app, do you know how hard it was to find Kazzalite in recent times? All links seemingly point to the spyware version.
Whilst this is excellent news indeed, I fear only the so called "computer savvy" will reap the benefits of this (ie no spyware). There are a lot of people out there who seemingly click at random through the World Wide Wreckage, completely and utterly naive of the dangers they face. And there are others who just can't be bothered to protect themself from spyware, data loss, scams, identity theft, etc.
Does this sound familiar:
Clueless user: Hrm, that looks like a good idea. Click. Install. Now why is my computer slow and always crashing? Better call my tech boy genius neighbor!
Tech boy genius neighbor: OMFG what did you do!?
I commend the software venders that do their best to protect those who need protecting the most. Even Microsoft is looking into integrating Spyware search and destroy tools into Windows. It pays to get with the times!
a) A Gen-X colloquialism conveying an overall feeling of frustration.
b) Used to express a feeling one has after realizing they have been tricked, misled, scammed, swindled, etc..
c) Used to boast or chide the victim of such tomfoolery
d) Coined by the animated sitcom character Homer Simpson in the mid to late eighties, "Doh" is similar to other one word, one syllable explicatives in that it is a quick and succinct summary of one's aggravation, but differs in that it was an accepted substitute to similarly censored words.
How do the courts come up with what an appropriate fine should be? Obviously in this case, $250,000 USD is 10 times the amount that was allegedly pirated.
Is this girlfriend you speak of, uh, real?
Anyone else read this as Microsoft Abandons Gay Bill?

Yeah, that makes more sense. Guess i'm sleepy this morning. :/
Your Rights Online... The big thing here is a Supermarket loyalty card was used against the customer.

This is another nail in the coffin of the Wintel paradigm.

Evidently I have no sense of humor :/
I am BillGatus of Borg. Competition is futile. You will be -GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT in BORG.EXE
It would be pretty cool to simulate enviromental doomsday scenarios such as the one seen in the movie The Day after Tomorrow.
Nothing is idiot-proof to a sufficiently talented idiot... :)
