    with the policy of locking the cockpit all it would take is the steward(s|esses) to have a panic button to signal the pilot that it is time to play "push the envelope".

    the problem is CONTEXT

    If what you are saying is in the wrong place and you are seen as drumming up violence then there are actual laws to charge you with.

    Example if you said all members of NOTWHITE race need to be rounded up and taken to "work camps" where they belong and you were known to have a fleet of vans then you could be arrested for HATESPEECH in my area.

    hate to say this but if there was a beacon on an actual LEO (say part of the camera rig or the radio) then that signal could be picked up by CAR.net.

    but then on the other end anybody in the road using standard gestures should be able to control cars for minor things.

    what would really fix The System is if "bogged" ballots "win" an election then

    1 the existing candidates are removed from the running

    2 in 48 hours another election is held with a list of "alternate" candidates (the top of the list of cadidates that did not "make the cut")

    3 if during the second round no person is elected then THE PARTIES of the spent candidates are removed (so in round 3 no dem/reps are eligible)

    the big trick is even if there is a no/low cost way to get an id that will work for voting

    1 its basically undocumented (even to most of the staff)
    2 only available at one office (that has restricted hours and is located across town from where most of the folks that need an id are located)
    3 has requirements that you only find out if somebody else tells you (or you hit one and find out that way)

    The best way to fix this is to A fight any such laws in the courts B work on getting the folks shepherded through The System

    the problem is The Kama Sutra does not cover most programs

    AND NEITHER DOES WHAT MANUAL THE PROJECT HAS BOTHERED TO WRITE!

    Most of the time the programs you really need a good manual

    1 they use a wiki where 60% of the manual is "to be written" and or uses a setup designed to hide info

    2 the manual is for 3 versions back (and they changed things 2 versions back)

    3 the manual is just flat out WRONG

    So what the Folks With Money need to do is have a program that rewards kids for graduating high school without a criminal record (maybe 15K and a scholarship for the first year of college??).

    heck if you want to tech things maybe they could design a tablet that has zero pawn value and is loaded with a set of e-school books and other tools??

    I could see an AI doing a scan and popping "red flags" so that even an intern won't miss needed info
