    "This message will self destruct in 5 seconds"

    this will prevent reuse of the media

    How is a function of what can you spend on it. If you can drop a couple megabucks on it then you will get a solution that delivers your data before its requested and if a storage module THINKS of going bad its going to get swapped out.

    but yeah send feelers out to as many vendors as possible (and don't forget The Other Tower does not count as offsite backup)

    On the ladies side i would not want to know which of JCPenny Macys or Victorias Secret is used for their Underthings (unless i was perhaps buying for one of them).

    And on the mens side there are some very nice Polos sold at ThinkGeek.

    Heck as long as they are not including things like Women MUST be wearing a skirt (or dress with a skirt) with a hem no shorter than knee length then i would say sure go for it.

    SO SAY WE ALL

    okay now the following should be illegal at the federal level

    1 designing a contract that is setup to hide some of the clauses of that contract so you would need to
        A move the 9 pages of defining names and such to the END (Prevents MEGO while still sorting out who is who)
      B no changing stuff in earlier parts unless there is a good reason (domestic V international use)
      C include the standard gov stuff by reference
      D no bundling contract levels up to increase the length and confusion (demo is separate from standard or Pro)
      E using nonstandard definitions for words without reason or warning

    2 charging above the actual cost for access to laws (hint put a set of PDFS online and be done with it)

    3 any law ( as written or enforced) that is physically impossible (red light cameras with yellows that can not be crossed at the speed limit)

    also judges should be tasked with Did the Law Get Broken not Can We Jail/Fine for this??

    the secret service does a lot more than The Protection Detail.

    In fact if over 10K in cash shows up during an investigation some subset will drop EVERYTHING and join in said investigation.

    Their Original Job was Anti Counterfeiting.

    so if say a hundred million in cash showed up somewhere they would stick the POTUS "In a closet" and sort out that.

    The Hacker Crackdown is a very fun book to read (and is LEGAL to just download!!)

    so if some "CandyFarm" had a bunch of cash stored it would be a very very very bad thing if a LEO found out.

    why do you think that Fire Police and EMS lights have a very obvious "jitter" to them?

    I would be in favor of having the owners of places charged with aggravated assault / attempted homicide since i would also have such factors in published documents that they would have to read before getting a business license.

    part of the trick is with a merc switch you can save your power for more "interesting" things

    Okay so you only get 500 megs a month free but if you are lucky you might hit a sale where you can get the hotspot for cheap (mine was $20 shipped free).

    and given how many jobs seem to have online only applications this does make a bit of sense.

    let me introduce you do the retail tactic called the Return Merchandise Authorization Center

    Lenovo can have a retailer deal with this in 2 ways

    1 RMAC all units with date codes prior to %clean date%

    2 Ship "update" disc sets that burn the restore partition and reloads it with a clean version (then proceeding with a restore)

    bonus for L if the sets have some sort of "Due to a Quality Control Issue we have included a restore media set at no charge" notice on the packet

    you do know that the telcos by definition have ways of sorting the originating number AT THE NETWORK LEVEL.

    Even if it was a VOIP call the telco could start blocking the switch (or have the provider disable the account used)

    Dot Gov folks need to either start issuing fines equal to 140% of the profits or have the DOD "serve papers" on the folks profiting from this.

    the biggest thing to do during a refactor is to figure out that a block of dew crazed code can be cooked off into a much smaller (and more readable) block by grouping exceptions and figuring out if the main "class" just needs to be expanded.

    its the code version of replacing that 3d printed super widget with a properly made metal version (that has the correct bends and bobs in it)

    There is an actual physical Google Wallet CARD that draws from the same source so all else failing you just pull that out and proceed as would be normal.
