Sudden appearances and loud noises do. I've seen all the car wrecks and war images you can see, but loud noises and mixed with strobe lights can get me every time. If Dead Space relies on Gore to scare people, it just won't. On the other hand, if they are using lighting and sound to scare you, then, from my perspective, they're doing their job right.
I don't know about you, but I would consider the Xbox 360 a rather large success for Microsoft. The 360 game pad? Best, in my opinion, on any system.
Windows XP? Seems to be doing fairly well from my perspective. Adobe creating new products that give Windows an advantage over OSX because of hardware compatibility and support? That seems to be good for Microsoft. Certainly, Microsoft isn't doing them selves any favors, not until windows 7 is released with actual improvements. But, Software developers are developing for windows and continuing to keep Microsoft in a comfortable zone of Operating system dominance.
TL;DR Microsoft isn't going anywhere.
Great Britain isn't far behind "1984". America isn't far behind "brave new world" and Russia/china aren't far behind "Fahrenheit 451" (just with a pinch of communism).
No, Edgar Rice Burroughs should be mentioned on the front page (even though he's dead) . Ray Bradbury should be condemned for his awful writing and pompous attitude.
He knows his roots, but that doesn't mean that the past is a tangible road for profit today. id has transformed from making games for fun and money into a mostly for profit company. You still see Carmack talking like he's really interested in his work, but I don't know if they're going down the same path they once did. They've expanded their development base and are now in a market that doesn't allow the good developers to own two Ferrari.
Seriously though, I want rage and Doom 4. I might be a company loyalist by buying and liking id games, but since the third grade I've been playing their games.
History tells us a story that is quite interesting in this regard. Traditional democrats are for larger government and Republicans are for smaller government (keep in mind this is the federal government). Today I see Obama and Mcain as problems. Obama is most likely using focus groups to appeal to swing voters unconscious desires in a new president (hope). MCcain is sitting on top of the absolutely retarded Fiscal conservative christian campaign. Both support the patriot act. They are giant logical fallacy machines during debates (as with all politicians these days). I see no light at the end of this election year tunnel.
Communism is a temporary setback on the road TO FREEDOM!
Puzzle games /thread
you can all go home now!
As someone once told me "Good artists create, great artists steal"

"god set up math" Not unless you are referring to the Greek gods for Pythagoras, Hindu gods for the idea of Zero, and Buddha for pascals triangle.
What will you do to re-instate the Banking Act of 1933? If at all.
HOW DID /. KNOW!?
Information is power.

I hope it also comes with a 100% guaranteed money back if I'm dissatisfied with the community.

and subsequently ruined the UT series in foul swoop.
UT2004 was made by Epic Games not id software.
Not as much as the Iranian missile department.

You are now catapulting voting machines, MANUALLY.
Fallacy of extremes. If everything is a belief, where is there room for no belief?
