If you are looking for teaching general programming whilst not being entirely language specific, check out CeeBot
From the page: CeeBot is a brand new concept with which you will learn programming while having fun. The programming language you'll use is very similar to those used by professional programmers to develop their products. CeeBot introduces many modern concepts found in today's most popular environments like C++, C# or Java.
After teaching you the syntax of CeeBot, progressive exercises will lead you to use important concepts such as variables, loops, conditional branching, functions, classes, objects, etc.
Basically, it's a programming learning environment masquerading as a game. They also seem to have different versions based on age and/or skill level.
Yes, each carrier here only offers a couple of models of "smart" phones. au has exactly 1 model. docomo has 2 I believe. softbank is the only one that carries the iphone, but they have more smart phone models than anyone else.
What this article doesn't mention is that au carries around 40 other models of phones, same with docomo, softbank, and willcom. The smart phone market is tiny here in Japan.
I guess 46% of a 2% market is still something though...
I don't know about everyone else, but when I went to visit a Navy base a while back, I ran into a girl I knew in high school. She was around 9 months pregnant.
I asked her about the baby and she said that she was having a hard time getting an appointment at the local Navy Hospital (this is in Japan) because most of the military wives were all pregnant at the same time.
Basically, every time the boat comes in, all the wives get pregnant and then the husbands ship out again. The hospital is basically unused between deployments.
I can't imagine long power outages not causing the same effect.
It's worse than that. I live in Japan and have one of the Sharp DVD recorders using dubbing10. It is designed so that you can record a copy of a over the air digital broadcast and record it to DVD for later playback.
To do this, you have to use special DVD-R discs that support the CPRM standard. On top of that, you can only play it on the player where it was recorded. Unfortunately, this also applies to private recordings. I dubbed some home movies from a MiniDV tape to the recorder and then attempted to copy it off onto a DVD. I could only play my own content on this one recorder. It encrypted the content and applied their copy protection scheme to content I created.
How's that for lock in?
I want to know what this software is that he was selling because i want a copy of it.
Also, you could use CTRL+ALT+NUMPAD+ or NUMPAD- to switch clockspeeds on the newer 486s.
I built computers back then for a smalish computer company. The 8/16 display you speak of was set by jumpers on the back side of the display and had a 3 wire connector that went to the motherboard. Pin 1 plus Pin 2 was high, with pin 3 plus pin 2 being low.
We also had a preloaded dos menu system which, I forget what it was called, that started from the autoexec.bat which would allow you to load either dos, some shareware titles, desqview, or windows 3.
I know of many people who live overseas since they are in the US military and they have a witopia account so they can access US content while they're overseas. They also still purchase American products on their local base, and they actually like to watch US commercials since all the local stuff is in Japanese. I guess we'll have to find a way around this too...
"their closest competitors (AMD) are somewhat behind and relegated to offering a cheap but clearly inferior option."
But i run a winchip you insensitive clod!

Perhaps they will release the next version as Madden 0x10 so it will be good until 2016?

This technology will be mass produced in only 20 years.
You're right. A lexus is exactly like a Toyota.
Thanks for saving me the time to bring this up.

The heart, as stated in TFA, is not a skeletal muscle. This only seems to affect muscles attached to bone.
I was under the impression that sic was short for "said in context" meaning a mistake that was in the original, quoted element of the article.
:)
Guess I was wrong
"You are being arrested for XXX."
Arrested for Porn?

Wait.. did he say... outside?
I believe his point was that you cannot replace the battery without voiding your warranty.

Second place being firefox 3.5.4
I will venture a guess and say his co-conspirators are the vice principal and the board of education. Probably the science and math teachers as well.
