At least we can celebrate the inception of the first baseball hall of famers. Now add to the list, "this is the day the agora android was suppose to release, but failed citing future interoperability."
Yes, in the good ol' days we had DC power transmission lines, but the last ones were decommissioned last year. So sad. And we just learned the benefits now.

But it would have been so cool if this phone was released on my birthday. I guess I won't buy one after all. It's too expensive for a non-birthday splurge.

I didn't see mention of whitelist email services like Bluebottle where users choose who they want to accept email from rather than swinging the gates open and filtering out the junk.
In that sense of the word an "Omega" release is the final release of a product, pre-/post-retirement, that allows users to transition away from the product.
If your kids are going to college near the Canadian border, and they insist on paying for an "enhanced driver's license", you know they will be taking trips to Canada to go drinking. I can only imagine some money was shipped over from Canada to pay off legislators to approve this. Obviously there is no other reason to go to Canada, and who would fly over to go drinking anyway?

It may be rather fun to study my travel activity without having to also carry around an additional GPS-enabled device or having to buy a new phone with accessible GPS data. For those days when I'm off the ball and forgot what it was I did yesterday.
Maybe we should call it the wine-cellar effect. At any rate, I find it surprising that they're only using one storage system, and only "many" terabytes after considering it creates 15PB per year, unless "terrabytes" are a newly named unit of measure.

I'd say the same, but I hear their lawyers are pretty tough, but so are Google/YouTube's. But then again, neither defense can hold up to Chuck Norris. I hear the thetans would have landed on dry ground, but Chuck did a round house kick that caused a massive updraft, which in turn made them all fall in a volcano.
So this is like playing a board game where the two winning players battle it out only to find everyone else has slowly advanced well ahead of their position in the end. Blu-ray and HDDVD will fall and the real winner will appear in 5 years and will offer better longevity and density.
I'm still waiting on a high density format that offers a 25+ year archival life. That's what everyone wants, and Blu-ray doesn't cut it. DVD offered far superior video quality in comparison to SVCD and VHS technology. Blu-ray/HDDVD may have better quality video than DVD, but TVs are not improving fast enough and some people are happy with the quality of DVD. I imagine the thought of "improved video quality" is an old and busted idea. We already got that last time, so why do we need it again?
We all want something new and different; a higher definition circular disk is nothing new. If you put out a tiny cubic disk it would get more attention. I think something with a longer lifespan would be of more value. Everyone's sick of their DVDs getting scratched, and to think that a scratched blu-ray is even worse is not good news.
It would seem dictators/governments and such have a thing for blocking anti-government websites. Companies block anti-business websites. Then you have the parents who block anti-family websites. I'm starting to see a trend... This might be more prevalent than furries.
Use tax is also not well enforced because use tax can be deducted on tax forms, so what you don't report in use tax doesn't increase your tax return. In a sense, you're paying use tax indirectly by not reporting your purchases. Although, this isn't the case when you itemize your deductions and report deductions on goods purchased out of state.
