Given some time, eggs may also be made as well as sperm from stem cells, and homosexual male couples can also have biological children with the help of a woman to carry the fetus.
In other regionally-divided platforms, the European gamers often seem to get a raw deal, waiting ridiculous amounts of time for their version of things to be released. I think the fact that DS is region-free really helped cement them a top position in a market that's tired of waiting for stuff to find its way over there.
If the efforts of the US government to get rid of Internet gambling go half as well as their efforts to stop all the other illegal stuff that goes on in this big, unregulated, worldwide network.. *struggles to keep a straight face*
It seems to me we never hear about MS busting the few remaining ancient-hardware entusiasts for swapping around dupes of MS-DOS 5 or Windows 3.11 for their 286s. I don't suppose the end of support for '98 means MS will stop suing people for putting ISOs of that particular OS up on The Pirate Bay..
Given that the old-school Nintendo Power mag listed is nothing like the current one.. it's really sad that out of the five mags listed as "worth subscribing to," only one (PC Gamer) is still possible to subscribe to.
Actually, nobody cares about this sort of thing, and these so-called "statistical physicists" would all be cleaning gutters for a living right now.. except the guy from HR is too terrified to go downstairs and fire them. The last time he tried, they somehow irrevocably proved to him that not only was it statistically impossible that he had arrived to give them their pink slips, but they also proved his trousers, eyebrows, and cat out of existence with nothing more than a slide rule and a whiteboard.
There's not a lot of social networking projects that are open source or free to the communities. Every single one seems to be some ad revenue money grubbing scheme anyway. You have PeopleAggregator and maybe NovaShare though the latter doesn't really support degrees of separation searching.
You're talking to a member of one of those victim's families, and I'm not talking about the actual terrorists. I'm talking about everyone who gets mislabelled a "terrorist" by a frightened public who wants to do away with them. I've been called a "terrorist" for attending peaceful protests. People nowadays are constantly called terrorists for having the wrong name, accent, skin color, or political view.
Sure, there were people calling themselves "witches" in the 1600s. There were also real practicing Communists in the 1950s, and there are actual terrorists in the world now. But how many non-witches were burned at the stake? How many innocent people had their lives ruined by being accused of Communism during the McCarthy era? And how many people are now called "terrorists" for looking or thinking differently than you?
Nothing justifies taking a word that scares the majority, and using it as a blanket term to describe anyone you hate/fear/disagree with, and to ultimately effect their dissappearance.

Still, not all groups who call themselves "witches" existing today have anything to do with Buckland, Gardner, or Wicca. Some consider themselves directly related, some tenuously, and some actively distance themselves from them. Some witches, to be blunt, never had anything to do with Wicca and might slap you for saying so. That is the point I was trying to make. You can't lump all modern "witches" under "Wicca" any more than you can lump all modern "Christians" (which include Protestants, Anglicans, the Amish, Calvinists, Rosicrucians, and many other non-Catholic followers of Christian-based faiths) under today's Catholic Pope.
And the term "neo-pagan" should definitely not have been used. Neo-pagan is an even broader term than "witch," including far too many subsets and religions to begin to catalog in a Slashdot post.

Where are "Christians" or "Catholics" mentioned anywhere in the article?
Nowhere, I'm making a point. Not all Christians are Catholics, just as not all witches are Wiccan. "Witches" is a blanket term with many, many subcategories, of which "wiccan" is only one. Catholics are to Christians as Wiccans are to witches, a fact which your OP misses by lumping it all under Wicca and the Buckland and Gardner crew.
Success of the ad doesn't hinge on whether or not you like it, but whether it sticks in your head and gets mindshare. Since everyone's going nuts over this one, people are discussing it, and it's propagating virally among blogs and news sites (here included) it's doing an amazingly wonderful job and some ad exec's probably enjoying a hefty bonus.
I'm inclined to agree.. even though I really enjoy mashups (as in music) and make my own (OMG PLUG!) I really wish a different name for them had caught on. In the UK they tend to call them "bootlegs," but I find that too general a term. The real, Wikipedia-approved (*snicker*) term for the genre is "Bastard Pop," which, although quite descriptive, is even more cringeworthy.

I've yet to hear about witches and devil worshippers killing people in the streets or flying planes into buildings.
I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but witches actually tried that last gimmick. The best we could do was flying broomsticks into buildings, but it turns out it doesn't do much damage unless you have one hell of a good-quality broomstick.
I'm sorry, but comparing witches to Al-Quaeda is a bit of an ad absurdum. We all know witches are more powerful, which is why we dealt with these terrorists in the 1600's, and did not not deal with the latter terrorists in the 1980's when we could have.
The witchhunts weren't anything to do with witches, it was all pretty much Christians killing Christians.
It was a sweet deal, if you think about it... want someone's land? Turn them in for "witchcraft" and you and the government get to split their assets after they're roasted. Angry at a woman for rejecting your advances? No worries, she'll probably have a freckle - oops, I mean "devil's mark" - one can blame the world's problems on, and up in smoke she goes. Afraid of your wife because she knows how to read better than you do? Poof, and you get to look for someone younger and stupider next time.
400 years ago it was "witches." 50 years ago it was "communists." These days it's those darn "terr'rists." People will always find a way to persecute other peoople they don't like for whatever reason.
Round where I live we still have to deal with witches and their pagan rituals. Here is a recient story (last week) of a witch torturing her lover and dumping his body in the sea.
That's not a pagan ritual, that's what they call "murder." If these people met via Christian church instead of the pagan community, nobody would be going on about "those murdering Christians" would they? *sigh*

Oh, Please. The article did not say "Wicca." It said "witches." Give it up.
And if the article said "Christians" instead of specifying "Catholics," would that be fine by you?
