True, but it would have to be a really good hoax. Otherwise it's not likely we'd have a prayer against aggressive aliens. As Sagan and many others would point out, a space-faring civilization is going to be much older and more technologically advanced than us. Reminds me of that old saying, "don't bring a knife to an phaser fight."
No no no, all we need to defend ourselves is a cable repair guy, a laptop and an actor who thinks he has a music career!
No, I can think of a few things which have been added to campaigns, the biggest of which was probably Sorrow's Furnace. Thats dicluding the wintersday events, dragon festival etc.
I can out date that, cos its wat I took inspiration from, when Hannibal of Carthage was leading his armies east towards rome (I believe they had just crossed the alps, or atleast some snowy mountainess range) the issue of food supplies came up. A solution from one of his generals was to eat the dead from a battle.
Eat the homeless, now we have enough housing. Eat criminals, no more over full jails, possible drop in crime rates. Eat everyone who live in a house with an odd number, halfing amount of cars on the road. And with all that eating we solve third world hunger too.
Halo, pre M$ was only ever shown at Mac Expos, as a Mac game. Its also worth noting that although the myth games were released on PC, it was after Mac release, I know Marathon 2 for PC came a year later than the Mac version. Given the impact Halo would have had on the Mac against the xbox (not as much, smaller customer base), a PC port would have been longer in the works.
And if I recall Myth III may have come out on PC first, but Im sure M$ gave the rights to Take2 or similar and wasn't developed by Bungie.
I've just been watching scrubs hence, For the of God, nooby. Halo, and soon to be Halo 2 would have been luckly to even hit the PC without M$, hell I can M$ hate with the best of them, when theres a good reason, so lets go down the bungie hall of memories. Marathon, whats that Mac games? OMFG did you not get that on your PC? Until recent open sourcing I believe there was only a very limited, LIMITED, run of Marathon 2 for PC, and that seemed more for the novelty. As for halo the orginal intention for it was to be a mac game, but you know that right? It was even a RTS, then it became a 3rd person shooter, at about which time M$ took a big interest which had the game published on a big format (no, don't smirk, no, really, Xbox gamer numbers > Mac gamer numbers).
Moral of it all, Halo of PC, far more likely with M$ then without.
Closest solution to this I found is Portable Thunderbird. Though if you recieve large attachments your going to need a big thumb/pen/memory/flash/usb stick/drive/thingy (Or whatever people in your neck of the woods call it).
To be fair anyone buying the official Xbox360 wifi adapter (especially if your a slashdotter) deserves to be parted with there money. For my xbox orginal I got a access point (that can be run in a multitude of other modes as well) for £20 (about $30 USD) that plugs in via ethernet and does the job.
That said didn't know the Wii had it built in, release a jedi game and I'll have one soon.
Good news, come November 28th (Date could change) new characters will recieve more skills on creation (800,000 Skill points to be exact, I believe this is about 6 times more then when I created mine).
I believe there are some GPL compilers are there that let you use C (atleast) with mindstorms. Gonna look into it more when I can get the new kit in the UK.
The Watchman: "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" Who watches him? Me I do. I am the Watchman, he created me.
Following Dark: What kind of mind creates its own Watchman?
The Watchman: One that is afraid of the dark.
Following Dark (With satisfaction): And so he should be!
The Watchman: Yes, but I don't think you understand, I'm not here to keep the dark out, Im here to keep it in. Call me the... Guarding Dark. Think how powerfull I must be. Now... *Removes grill on the lamp, letting the light shine and begin to burn the Following Dark* Get put of town.
Thats off top of my head so won't be anything like an exact quote, but it something like that.
Or for those of you who have short attention spans or like RPG's more for the mechanics. Tom saves you on a quest and lets you keep some lovely swords of +1 Nazgul slaying as a reward, see, side quests do help.
Unless Im mis-understanding you, the joke is there can't be arabs on it in the future because Bush is wipeing them out or similar. I believe its an attempt at rapier wit by someone who doesn't understand what a rapier is.
If I recall currectly, the orginal warcraft games were heavily influences by warhammer (Failed to get the rights to use the "Warhammer" from games-workshop I believe). So as far as characters, fiction etc. No. As for the interface, likely. But then again, if it works why change it? (Law suit isn't the answer:P)
To be fair some parts of the orginal starwars was better for the updating, though I the rest of it wasn't. The cockpits in Ep V, for example, were transparent at times (Mostly Hoth part), in the newer ones thats fixed and Lukes speeder in episode IV had the "force field" blur removed under it.

iPod Linux - Free
Knowledge and desire to install linux on your MP3 Player - Your social life
Having been smart enough to install Linux on your iPod then go out of your way to install a virus - Priceless
For everything else theres run of the mill idiots.

Yes, I'm a bad bad man.
Reminds me of some of the (orginal) xbox demo units that were sealed in so tight they got to hot and crashed:P

I know, I'm a bad bad man.
What? Just one? :P
*Teach you teamwork
*Teach you leadership
*Teach you commitment
*Get you laid
Apart from possibily the last point, a synchronised Dance Dance Revolution team would be doing this!
See, you're not just making a prat of yourself! Its a sport!
And if you loose the first point too you could point out CS or Guild Wars as well, and all the other games that are similar.
Go here. Its even been improved (well, i think so).
If anything it should get you some sort of award.
I believe there are some GPL compilers are there that let you use C (atleast) with mindstorms. Gonna look into it more when I can get the new kit in the UK.
The Watchman: What are you?
Following Dark: The Following Dark!
The Watchman: You will not make him kill for you.

Yeah, its not taking the piss out of black people in general, just the idea of racism.
