    I'm still not totally clear on how ISP's can throttle your bandwidth if you encrypt what you're sending..

    In the case they could just throttle all traffic from the BBC, encryption or no.

    Im afraid Halo 3 will only be available for Vista Xp Uber Expensive edition given the time taken to release them on PC and Halo 2 Vista only (May or may not be circumvented).

    All the salads in the world won't stop everything

    Im not so certain, Im sure if I were to gather all the salad in the world and place it between me, and that bus my mum always told me to wear clean underwear for, Im pretty certain it would stop that.

    Granted I've yet to discover a means to survive nuclear holocost with salad, but you know, one day at a time.

    I tend to find those people don't pay, and ask someone who can do each step for/how to obtain the end product.

    True, but it was my understanding (which may be wrong), that small, yet important parts of say the Linux Kernel will be emerging under GPLv3, which isn't going to play nice with the likes of Novell or certain proprietry software, which shafts them when it comes to upgrading.

    Thats always been a sticking point with consoles, and more of late with sony. 1) Because Nintendo always reports sold units as oppossed to shipped. 2) Because Sony tries to pass off shipped as "They are selling like hot cakes!", coupled in with the unsold PS3 bounty they did (Find a PS3 on the shelves and we'll pay you $$$, causing most gaming sites to post pictures of local shops with PS3's stacked on shelves, Sony became quiet about the bounty).

    I believe certain T-Mobile contracts offer free internet access (or atleast very cheap access), as a result a (small yet) significant number of people started using a VOIP app to call each other and send text messages for next to nothing. As a result T-mobile banned/blocked this app to force people to use there service.

    Vista is actually selling quite well

    Can you cite source? Specificly in direct relation to XP? And more importantly are they stand alone versions of Vista, or the Microsoft Tax (Bundled with your computer, even if you don't want it)? As far as I'm aware most people aren't choosing Vista when they have the choice.

    It is my understanding pacemakers are sometimes placed beside the heart and any rewiring (retubing, whatever) is done and they they sew them up, I believe they do the same if you get a kidney transplant, must be pushed for room though.

    ... as seen here . Used this last year as part of a presentation at uni (I was given PCB production), or as I like to think of it as "How many of you can use the internet the night before this needs to be presented" test.

    More indepth for those who care. The flowing solder is (to me) th emost interesting and sparse par however, though AMD (did) have a few interesting articles on how mass automated soldering is done.

    If the RAM manufacturers are building up stocks of RAM that nobody is buying then maybe they'll start pushing the prices down further to make it more attractive.

    Ahah! Hahahahaha! Hehehe! Ah.... Good one. Last Time I read anything about ram prices it was an article about a few companies being fined for price fixing.

    when is the last time you've seen a native actor in a movie or television show who isn't either some kind of medicine man, unsavory charcter from a reserve, or some other caricature?

    Hasn't XBMC (And for a brief time XBMP, before they merged) always been GPL (Or atleast some other open source license)? Nobody has stopped anyone from porting it. The only thing that has changed is that the XBMC team are starting to port some bits themselves to encourage more people to develop for XBMC.
