I was thinking ( more like dreaming ) about buying a HD video camera that uses a hard drive. I wonder how much the noise of flying in a WW2 era Warbird would mess with it. I flew in a B-25 and it someone screwed with my camera's ability to focus.
It is not that the source code is available it is the price and you can do what ever you want with it. Like put it on 50 computers without paying up the nose.
One of the few reasons that we use the parallel port is because its simple. Why spend more time building an usb interface when a few wires, transistor and a relay can do the same?
I hope they let us keep hacking it. Or at least give us a way to send an xml file to it and in return they can display ads... I don't know but this is one of those good things that I never want to see go away. I've been working on a php script that turns netstumbler summery files to an xml file that google maps likes.
Dell out of the box has Norton and AOL by default.
All the Dells I've seen like my Insporon 8600 and the ones at work came with a 30 day demo of Mcafee. Before I uninstalled it my on laptop took 10-20mins to boot.
Both links are down so I whent to http://mirrordot.org/ and look at this Presently sustaining 0 parallel Slashdottings. Far out! . Any other mirrors any one knows about?
The Gridswarm project includes model trainers that can fly 120mph
To me 120mph sounds a little fast, if something goes wrong like a bug in the software they are never going to see the planes again and if they crash there is going to be nothing left other then little bits of wood.
Another thing is I've been in full sized planes that go slower than that, like this week end I went flying in a N3-n and we maxed out at 75mph.
Oddly enough, they decided to re-compile all the Windows games like Minesweeper and Solitaire to 64-bit. However, they decided not to re-compile some important applications like Windows Media Player and Windows Movie Maker.
Ok I got another question, I've seen on tv where Nasa used a really long cable more then 15 miles (if I remeber right) they used it to generate electricity from the earth's magnetic field. Will this elevator be able to generate electricity too?

What happens if you run the cd under Linux?
Do you break the eula because the rootkit is mac and windows only?
Will it just run as a normal cd?
Will it run as a normal cd under windows before the rootkit?
Why is Sony just a BIG ass hole?

:)
You can always get a laptop with bluetooth and a bluetooth mouse and you don't need to plug in a thing
...and they thought their printer wasn't working cause it wasn't under a window?
Wtf are you smoking?

...is it cause people on AOL are the same people who click punch the monkey ads, install comet cursor and New.net along with Gator and WebShots?
I thought aol came with all that by default?
There is no way a gpu can make up for that. :p
Firefox may have a few flaws but its still better then IE which never gets fixed.

Poor Microsoft, we should stop giving our money to the homeless people and start donating to Microsoft.

Windows Movie Maker is important?
So they are just making small planes that can do stol ( Short Take-Off and Landing ) and calling them flying cars?...
