...and a lawsuit ensues in which freedom of speech is acknowledged by the supreme court as having superiority over the egos of Congress. America will work like it always has, and speech has always had preferred position. I see no merit in your dystopian prognostication.
And the fog and cloud formations that you later realize are pollution, and the immense gap between rich and poor, and the arbitrary nature of the government...
The problem is referred to as the hairy ball theorem. Imagine a sphere with hair growing out of it...It turns out that it is impossible to comb hair on a sphere so that no hair sticks up. A strand of hair that is standing on end would be equivalent to an instability in the reactor. However, a hairy doughnut can be so combed, and thus adjustments to the magnetic field can be made to correct the irregularities.
My friend watched Serenity, so I asked him what he thought of it. He looked at me with this confused-dog expression, and asked, "What the FUCK is a 'boon'?"
Mal said "boon" in passing and completely ruined the rest of the movie as my friend tried to figure out what it meant.
I thought it was: Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll sit in a boat all day drinking beer with his buddies."
It's not the complete take-down of the USA's electronic infrastructure that should worry you. After all, that would hurt everyone. This is what's more realistic:
Titan Rain was covered on slashdot before, but the linked Time article has since gone premium. A quick google search brings up this and this, though I'm not sure how reliable they are since they're random Google search results.
Gah! Advertisement drones have infiltrated slashdot!
PS, I'm a real person and I love Newegg

Or what doesn't it do, and why doesn't it do what I want it to do?
I'm so confused...
Well, you'd be able to solve all your privacy issues by walking around in the nude and gluing porn to everything.

We laughed, we cried...Segway Trail. Watch it.
I think it would be awesome if you could fit an aquarium in there.
That's why no one recognizes Superman as Clark Kent. He takes his glasses off!
OH...that says "crown," not "clown."
You, sir, are much too attached to your computer.
Lemme tell ya, it'll take a lot more than stem cells to let Christopher Reeve ride a polo pony at this point.
Though I imagine duct tape would do it.
Microsoft's Kevin Doerr (no relation to the venture capitalist) and Yahoo's Ethan Diamond walk into a bar.
Google's Paul Buchheit ducks.
I'm in Computer Science at UBC, and there are a lot of girls in my classes... but at least 90% of them are Chinese.
I'm a Chinese American high school senior applying to colleges...and you have just convinced me to pony up the $100 application fee for UBC!
Damn these raging hormones...
I read that as Piracy != Freedom & Freedom != Piracy
I was sad.
Goatse!
But the question is, does it weigh as much as a duck?

Well, you obviously knew enough to tell him you knew nothing, so that's gotta be worth something. Yay /.!
I really love the right click features - getting directions to and from places you don't know the exact addresses of are a godsend.

Ah, here's a ZDnet article. Might not all be FUD.
Speaking of which, yay for proprietary formats. With their previous track record, I wouldn't be surprised if this was for Sony products only.
